ABSTRAK Penyakit asam urat merupakan salah satu penyakit degeneratif yang banyak dialami oleh masyarakat, terutama kelompok usia lanjut, dan dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup apabila tidak ditangani dengan baik. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kesadaran serta pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pencegahan dan penanganan penyakit asam urat melalui edukasi kesehatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Masjid Jami Baiturahim Setiaratu, Kecamatan Cibeureum, Kota Tasikmalaya dengan melibatkan 40 peserta, khususnya ibu-ibu pengajian. Metode promosi kesehatan dilakukan melalui ceramah, diskusi interaktif, dan pembagian leaflet sebagai media edukasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai pola makan rendah purin, pentingnya aktivitas fisik, serta gaya hidup sehat sebagai langkah pencegahan hiperurisemia, meskipun secara statistik tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Kegiatan ini tetap memberikan dampak positif dengan meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjaga pola hidup sehat. Kolaborasi antara institusi pendidikan, tenaga kesehatan, dan masyarakat diidentifikasi sebagai kunci keberhasilan dalam upaya pencegahan penyakit asam urat. Ke depan, diperlukan perluasan sasaran, penggunaan media edukasi yang lebih variatif, serta peningkatan jumlah responden agar hasil lebih optimal dan berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Asam Urat, Promosi Kesehatan, Edukasi Masyarakat ABSTRACT Gout arthritis is one of the most common degenerative diseases found in society, especially among the elderly, and may significantly reduce quality of life if not properly managed. The purpose of this activity was to increase public awareness and knowledge regarding the prevention and management of gout through health education. The program was carried out at Jami Baiturahim Mosque, Setiaratu, Cibeureum District, Tasikmalaya City, involving 40 participants, particularly women from the local religious study group. The health promotion was conducted through lectures, interactive discussions, and the distribution of leaflets as educational media. The results showed an improvement in participants’ understanding of a low-purine diet, the importance of physical activity, and healthy lifestyle practices as preventive measures against hyperuricemia, although statistically no significant difference was found between pre-test and post-test results. Nevertheless, the activity had a positive impact by raising community awareness of adopting a healthier lifestyle. Collaboration between educational institutions, healthcare professionals, and the community was identified as a key factor for successful gout prevention efforts. In the future, broader community engagement, more varied educational media, and a larger number of respondents are recommended to achieve more optimal and sustainable outcomes.
