Abstract

Batik, as one of Indonesia’s cultural heritages, continues to evolve and is no longer regarded solely as a traditional craft, but has become an important part of today’s creative industry. This study aims to describe how batik is produced, the philosophical meanings embedded in its motifs, and the business opportunities that emerge as digital technology becomes increasingly integrated into production and marketing practices. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research illustrates how traditional batik-making processes are now combined with various forms of digital innovation, such as social-media-based promotion and the use of online marketplace platforms to reach a wider audience. The findings show that digitalization does not only help artisans expand their market reach but also improves promotional effectiveness and strengthens brand identity. In addition, this study supports previous research indicating that digital technology plays a crucial role in maintaining the sustainability of batik businesses amid growing global competition.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the widespread misunderstanding of the distinction between learning strategies and learning models, approaches, methods, and techniques. A proper understanding of these concepts is crucial for creating an effective learning process. This study aims to examine the basic concept of learning strategies and identify their differences from other learning components. The method used is a literature review, examining various relevant theoretical sources. The results indicate that learning strategies are general plans for learning activities that include objectives, materials, methods, media, and evaluation. Learning strategies have various classifications, such as based on the roles of teachers and students and the method of delivering material, such as expository, heuristic, deductive, and inductive strategies. Furthermore, learning strategies have a broader scope than models, approaches, methods, and techniques. Models serve as a conceptual framework, approaches as a basis for perspective, methods as a means of delivering material, and techniques as operational steps in implementing learning. This indicates that strategies are the primary guide in the entire learning process. Therefore, a clear understanding of learning strategies and their differences from other concepts is essential to improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of practice-based learning strategies in enhancing students’ entrepreneurial readiness through a literature review approach. Practice-based learning is a learning method that positions students as active participants in the learning process through direct experiences, such as developing business plans, participating in business simulations, engaging in entrepreneurship projects, undertaking internships, and practicing product marketing. Theoretically, this approach is grounded in Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory, which emphasizes that knowledge is acquired through the transformation of experience into meaningful learning. The findings indicate that practice-based learning contributes positively to the development of students’ entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, attitudes, and mindset. Through direct involvement in business activities, students are able to improve their communication, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, creativity, and risk-taking abilities. Furthermore, the effectiveness of practice-based learning is influenced by internal factors, such as motivation, knowledge, and self-efficacy, as well as external factors, including family support, social environment, and institutional facilities provided by higher education institutions. The reviewed studies reveal that practice-based learning strategies are more effective than theory-oriented learning in fostering students’ entrepreneurial interest, readiness, and competencies. Therefore, higher education institutions need to optimize the implementation of practice-based learning through innovative and sustainable entrepreneurship programs to produce graduates who are not only prepared to seek employment but also capable of creating job opportunities.

Abstract

Psychological anxiety among Generation Z has become a growing concern in educational settings due to increasing academic demands, social pressures, and the challenges of modern life. This study aimed to examine the dynamics of psychological anxiety experienced by Generation Z students at SMA Negeri 1 Sragi, formulate the concept of integrating rahmah values into humanistic counseling as an intervention approach, describe its implementation in school counseling services, and analyze its implications for addressing students’ psychological anxiety. This research employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving students and guidance and counseling teachers. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that academic anxiety was the most dominant form of anxiety experienced by students, particularly related to academic achievement, examination results, and expectations for higher education. Other contributing factors included limited supportive communication within families, social comparison with peers, and stigma toward counseling services. The integration of rahmah values into humanistic counseling was conceptualized through four core dimensions: empathy, unconditional positive regard, self-awareness development (muhasabah), and compassion-based emotional support. The implementation of these values was reflected in counseling relationships characterized by empathy, acceptance, confidentiality, and respect for students’ dignity. Students reported feeling more comfortable, understood, and accepted during counseling sessions, which encouraged greater self-disclosure and trust in counselors. Furthermore, the integration of rahmah values contributed positively to students’ ability to manage anxiety, enhance self-confidence, and develop adaptive coping strategies. The study concludes that integrating rahmah values into humanistic counseling represents an effective and holistic approach to promoting the mental health and psychological well-being of Generation Z students in school environments.
