Abstract

The continuous advancement of information technology has led universities to begin utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) as online learning tools to support the effectiveness of academic activities. This study aims to evaluate the quality of LMS user service at the Dr. Soetomo Hospital Foundation College of Health Sciences (STIKES YRSDS) using the SERVQUAL model to identify the gap between user expectations and actual experiences with LMS services. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey approach. The sample was selected purposively from students who had actively used the LMS for at least one semester. A sample size of 65 students was obtained using the Slovin method. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale of 1–5 and analyzed using SPSS software and Cartesian diagrams. The study findings indicate a negative gap across all five SERVQUAL dimensions, indicating that the LMS service is still considered inadequate to meet user expectations. The reliability and responsiveness dimensions were the aspects with the largest gaps, particularly in the attributes of system stability (R3 = −1.03) and service response speed (V5 = −0.97). Based on the Cartesian Diagram analysis, attributes in Quadrant I (Top Priority) include the physical appearance of the LMS (T1), response speed (V5), system stability (R3), and user attention (E4). This study concludes that STIKES YRSDS needs to continuously improve and develop the system, with a primary focus on increasing system speed, service stability, and user support to optimize user satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the usability and user satisfaction of the STIKES YRSDS Learning Management System (LMS) using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The study involved 46 student respondents, consisting of 25 females and 21 males. Based on academic programs, 15 respondents were enrolled in the Diploma Program in Medical Record and Health Information (RMIK), while 31 respondents were from the Bachelor Program in Hospital Administration (ARS). Regarding academic level, the respondents included 17 second-semester students, 22 fourth-semester students, and 7 sixth-semester students. Data were collected using the SUS questionnaire, which consists of 10 statements rated on a five-point Likert scale ranging from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree.” The analysis revealed that the statement receiving the highest proportion of “strongly agree” responses was related to the need for users to become familiar with the system before using the LMS. This finding indicates that users still require an adaptation period and initial orientation to understand the system interface and workflow effectively. Based on the SUS calculation, the STIKES YRSDS LMS achieved an average score of 64.6. This score falls within the Marginal (High) acceptability category, with a Grade Scale D and an Adjective Rating of “OK.” These results suggest that the system is reasonably usable but remains below the average SUS benchmark considered desirable for optimal usability. The findings indicate that the STIKES YRSDS LMS has met users’ basic needs; however, improvements are still necessary to enhance the overall user experience. Recommended improvements include simplifying system navigation, increasing ease of use, and providing user guides or tutorials for new users. These enhancements are expected to improve user satisfaction and promote more effective utilization of the LMS.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the adoption and acceptance level of the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) among health information management students, encompassing the Bachelor of Hospital Administration and Diploma of Medical Records and Health Information (RMIK) programs at STIKES Yayasan RS Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. Utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework, this research analyzes the effects of Perceived Ease of Use (X1) and Perceived Usefulness (X2) on Attitude Towards Using (Y1) and their subsequent implications for Behavioral Intention to Use (Y2). A descriptive-associative quantitative approach was deployed in this study. The definitive sample size utilized consisted of 104 student respondents across various academic levels (2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters) selected via a stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using path analysis through hierarchical linear regression assisted by SPSS 26 software. The hypothesis testing results indicate that Perceived Ease of Use (X1) exerts a positive and significant direct effect on Attitude Towards Using with a beta coefficient (β) of 0.314 (p = 0.001). Similarly, Perceived Usefulness (X2) is proven to have a highly dominant and significant positive impact on Attitude Towards Using, with a beta coefficient (β) reaching 0.449 (p < 0.001). Furthermore, Attitude Towards Using (Y1) is empirically proven to contribute directly, positively, and significantly to determining Behavioral Intention to Use (Y2) with a beta coefficient (β) of 0.731 (p < 0.001). This testing model yielded an R-Square value of 0.466 in the first structural stage and 0.534 in the second structural stage. The practical implications of this research emphasize that digital learning management in health education institutions must be integratively synergized, both in terms of functional system stability and the user-friendly navigation of e-learning interface features. This strategy is highly crucial to strengthening students' digital readiness before directly confronting the complexities of hospital management information systems and electronic medical records within the future healthcare industry.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate user satisfaction with the New Student Admission (PMB) system at STIKES YRSDS using the SERVQUAL (Service Quality) method. SERVQUAL measures the gap between users’ expectations and perceptions of the PMB system’s services across five dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with 72 student respondents from the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SERVQUAL gap analysis. The results show that three SERVQUAL attributes have negative gap values, meaning users’ expectations have not been fully met. In the empathy dimension, attributes E3 and E4 have gap values of −0.04 and −0.06. Similarly, the reliability dimension shows a negative gap of −0.12. Overall, the level of user satisfaction with the STIKES YRSDS PMB system is good; however, improvements are still needed, especially in handling system errors and providing online customer complaint services.
