Abstract

Inflation, unemployment, and deflation are three fundamental macroeconomic phenomena that are closely interconnected in influencing a nation’s economic stability. These variables illustrate the equilibrium between production capacity, consumption behavior, and government intervention in achieving sustainable economic growth. The main purpose of this study is to explore the interrelationship between inflation, unemployment, and deflation, and to assess their implications for Indonesia’s economic stability. This research applies a qualitative descriptive method, employing literature reviews, document analysis, and secondary data evaluation derived from credible institutions such as the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Bank Indonesia (BI), and the Ministry of Finance. The results suggest that a moderate level of inflation can positively stimulate economic expansion through increased consumption and investment activities. In contrast, excessive inflation tends to erode consumer purchasing power and potentially elevate unemployment rates. Meanwhile, prolonged deflationary conditions may lead to a decline in product prices, reduced business profitability, and slower economic momentum. The interaction among these three factors is complex and dynamic, necessitating a coordinated balance between fiscal and monetary policies to safeguard overall economic stability. This study concludes that effective inflation control, job creation, and deflation prevention are critical elements in strengthening Indonesia’s long-term economic resilience.

Abstract

Retail and sharia cooperatives play a strategic role in driving national economic growth. Cooperatives are member-based economic institutions that help expand access to capital, encourage business growth, and improve public health. However, over time, cooperatives face a number of problems. These include increasing competition from contemporary retailers, poor human resource quality, low adoption of digital technology, and suboptimal organizational governance. Facing constantly changing market dynamics, these conditions have resulted in a decline in cooperative competitiveness. Therefore, the role of management is crucial to improving operational efficiency and ensuring the sustainability of cooperative businesses. This study aims to analyze the role of management in enhancing the competitiveness of retail and sharia cooperatives through the implementation of planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring functions. The method used in this research is a literature review, reviewing various scientific sources, such as books, journals, and relevant research reports over the past ten years. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of effective management, supported by innovation, digitalization, improved human resource quality, and good governance, can increase the competitiveness of cooperatives, making them more adaptive to changes in the business environment and community needs.

Abstract

Economic development plays a vital role in improving people's quality of life and promoting national progress. However, contemporary economic systems continue to face various challenges, including income inequality, poverty, and inequitable distribution of economic resources. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic economics as a foundation for supporting national development oriented toward collective welfare. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review of relevant books, scientific journals, and other academic sources. The findings indicate that Islamic economics is based on fundamental principles such as tauhid (the oneness of God), justice, maslahah (public benefit), ta'awun (mutual cooperation), and balance between material and spiritual aspects. These principles serve as guidelines for establishing a more equitable, humane, and sustainable economic system. The implementation of Islamic economics in national development can be achieved through strengthening Islamic financial institutions, optimizing the management of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf (ZISWAF), empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and developing the halal industry as a driver of economic growth. Therefore, Islamic economics has the potential to become an alternative development approach that promotes equitable welfare, reduces social disparities, and supports sustainable development.

Abstract

The growth of the halal food industry in Indonesia presents significant economic opportunities, but also requires young entrepreneurs who are able to adapt to technological advances and global markets. In this context, Generation Z is considered capable of developing halal entrepreneurship through innovation, digital literacy, and a sharia-based entrepreneurial approach. The purpose of this study is to identify the opportunities, preparations, and challenges faced by Gen Z in developing halal food businesses in Indonesia. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach and utilized a literature review method, examining halal industry reports from the past five years, as well as national and international journals. Content analysis techniques were used to examine halal industry trends, the entrepreneurial characteristics of Generation Z, and the skills required by halal entrepreneurs. However, challenges remain, including limited understanding of the halal assurance system, access to capital, and practical business experience. This study concludes that strengthening the halalpreneurship ecosystem through entrepreneurship education, halal certification, digital literacy, and collaboration between the government, industry, and universities are important strategies to encourage the emergence of competitive and sustainable young halalpreneurs in supporting the growth of the national halal economy.
