Anemia in pregnancy is a national health problem that seriously impacts both the mother and the fetus. Based on the incidence of anemia in pregnancy in Alam Panjang Village, Kampar Regency, data from the Iliran Community Health Center showed that 20 pregnant women with Hb <11 g% were recorded in 2022, 22 in 2023, and 25 in 2024. One way to overcome anemia is by consuming red dragon fruit, which is high in iron. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) on increasing Hb levels in third trimester pregnant women in Alam Panjang Village, Kampar Regency. This study was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design using a One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The study was conducted in January 2025. The study population consisted of 16 pregnant women. The sampling technique was total sampling. The research instrument used an observation sheet. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods. After the intervention, the average Hb level increased to 10.88 g/dL. Bivariate analysis showed that 10 respondents experienced an increase in Hb levels, while 6 respondents experienced no change. The Wilcoxon test showed a p- value of 0.005 (α=0.05), indicating a significant effect of red dragon fruit supplementation on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in the third trimester.
