Abstract

Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pelatihan ekonomi kreatif berbasis limbah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan, dan peluang usaha masyarakat sekaligus meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan masyarakat.ABSTRACTThe issue of managing plastic waste, wood waste, and agricultural waste in Tanea Village remains a significant environmental and socio-economic challenge, as these materials have not been optimally utilized as raw materials for creative products. This community service program aims to improve the community’s knowledge and skills in transforming waste into economically valuable products through a creative economy approach. The activities were carried out through socialization, workshops, and hands-on practice in producing recycled plastic pots, decorative corn-husk flowers, and ornamental plants made from wood waste. The program involved 15 participants from Tanea Village, consisting of housewives, youths, and local micro-business actors. The results show an increase in participants’ knowledge by an average of 30–45% and an improvement in technical skills up to 85%, indicated by their ability to produce at least one creative product. The products generated have economic potential with estimated market prices ranging from IDR10.000 to IDR40.000 per unit. These findings demonstrate that waste-based creative economy training can enhance community skills, expand entrepreneurial opportunities, and increase environmental awareness among the residents.
