Abstract

The rapid development of digital platforms has transformed the landscape of Islamic education; however, many pesantren still struggle to integrate digital dakwah with traditional learning systems. This research addresses this gap by examining how Salimna Official, a media platform of Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an An-Nasuchiyyah Kudus, integrates religious and secular knowledge within its digital content. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation analysis, and were examined using thematic analysis to ensure methodological rigor and analytical clarity. The findings show three key patterns: (1) the integration of Islamic teachings with contemporary knowledge appears consistently in video content, infographics, and podcasts; (2) digital strategies such as content diversification, youth-centered engagement, and expert collaboration strengthen pedagogical relevance; and (3) these strategies are aligned with Rasyid Ridha’s educational philosophy, particularly his concept of harmonizing religious and worldly sciences. Scientifically, this study contributes to the discourse on digital Islamic pedagogy by offering an empirical model of integrated knowledge production in pesantren-based digital media. Practically, the study provides a replicable framework for pesantren seeking to strengthen digital dakwah, develop students’ multimedia skills, and enhance the relevance of Islamic education in the digital era.

Abstract

In Indonesia, early Qur'anic memorization is a culturally and spiritually significant practice, particularly within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Despite its importance, limited research has examined how parent-child dynamics influence children's motivation in this context. This study investigates the motivational experiences of children aged 6 to 12 engaged in Qur’anic memorization, with particular attention to the role of parental emotional reinforcement, directive expectations, and intrinsic spiritual aspirations. A qualitative, psycho-hermeneutic approach was employed, involving interviews with one kiai, 20 ustaz-ustazah, and 23 santri who had memorized 30 Juz of the Qur’an, complemented by observations of 540 students and analysis of their monthly memorization progress reports. Findings reveal three distinct motivational trajectories: (1) extrinsic motivation through parental emotional reinforcement (e.g., praise, rewards), (2) passive compliance under parental demands, and (3) intrinsic motivation grounded in the child's spiritual calling. While extrinsic motivation often initiates engagement, intrinsic motivation is crucial for sustaining long-term memorization commitment and internalizing religious values.  This study enriches theoretical understanding of motivation in Islamic education by integrating Self-Determination Theory and hermeneutic analysis. It also offers practical implications for parents, educators, and policymakers seeking to foster supportive and autonomy-enhancing environments in pesantren settings. Further research is recommended to explore how sociocultural structures and pesantren pedagogies influence the development of religious motivation among young learners.

Abstract

This study aimed the association between intensity of PPATQ-RF ku application usage and guardians’ satisfaction, providing an evidence base for more effective technology-enabled services. A quantitative design was employed using a structured questionnaire administered to 60 guardians from diverse regions and age groups. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, item validity tests, reliability analysis, Pearson’s correlation, and simple linear regression. The instrument demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.838) and all items met validity criteria. A moderate, statistically significant positive correlation emerged between application usage and satisfaction (r = 0.573; p < 0.05). The regression model Y=11.948+0.699XY = 11.948 + 0.699X accounted for 32.9% of the variance in satisfaction. These findings indicated that optimizing application use can enhance guardians’ satisfaction, while recognizing that other determinants outside the application continue to exert substantial influence. These findings suggested that optimizing the app's use can increase the satisfaction of students’ guardians, while acknowledging that other factors beyond the app still have a significant influence. This study offers concrete managerial implications by identifying priority areas for improvement, particularly regarding system accessibility, information completeness, and feature optimization, thereby enabling boarding school administrators to design digital service strategies that are more responsive, integrated, and user-oriented.
