Abstract Social media addiction is a condition where individuals are unable to control intensive and excessive use of social media, which can trigger psychological and social disorders (Kootesh et al., 2016). Social media addiction can be influenced by several factors, one of which is self-control (Muna & Astuti, 2014). Fear of missing out is another factor that influences social media addiction (Fathadika & Afriani, 2018). This research design uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression. The sample consisted of 92 students from the Faculty of Psychology, University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya. The regression results show that the hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a relationship between self-control and fear of missing out with the tendency to become addicted to social media in adolescents. Abstrak Kecanduan media sosial merupakan kondisi di mana individu tidak mampu mengendalikan penggunaan media sosial secara intensif dan berlebihan, yang dapat memicu gangguan psikologis dan sosial (Kootesh et al., 2016). Kecanduan media sosial dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah self control (Muna & Astuti, 2014). Fear of missing out merupakan faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kecanduan media sosial (Fathadika & Afriani, 2018). Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan regresi linier berganda. Sampel berjumlah 92 Mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya. Hasil regresi menunjukkan hipotesis diterima, yakni adanya hubungan antara self control dan fear of missing out dengan kecenderungan kecanduan media sosial pada remaja.
