Abstract

Santri remaja Indonesia mengalami masalah gizi seperti anemia, gizi kurang dan obesitas. Data Riskesdas 2018 menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi anemia pada remaja sebesar 32%, gizi kurang 8,7% dan gizi lebih 16%. Permasalahan gizi ini dipengaruhi berbagai macam faktor seperti tidak optimalnya asupan gizi, ketidaktepatan pemilihan makanan, dan kurangnya aktivitas fisik. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa kegiatan sosialisasi, assesment school readiness, dan penguatan komitmen stakeholder program Nutrition Goes to Pesantren (Ngentrik) di Kota Tasikmalaya. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada bulan Januari – Juni 2023. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah adanya kesiapan seluruh sivitas SMP dan SMA Plus Pesantren Amanah Muhammadiyah dalam praktik baik pelaksanaan program edukasi gizi untuk prestasi, serta  kerjasama dan dukungan komitmen para pemangku kepentingan (Poltekkes Kemenkes Tasikmalaya, SEAMEO RECFON, SMP Plus Pesantren Amanah Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya, Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Kota Tasikmalaya, Dinas Pendidikan Kota Tasikmalaya, Dinas Kesehatan Kota Tasikmalaya, dan Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah Kota Tasikmalaya). Penguatan komitmen dilakukan melalui Focus Group Discussion pada 13 orang peserta diskusi menghasilkan rencana intervensi pendidikan gizi berupa Training of Trainer bagi para guru / ustadz / ustadzah, pengelola dapur (penyelenggara makanan institusi), pengelola Pos Kesehatan Pesantren, kepala sekolah SMP / SMA dan pimpinan pesantren.

Abstract

Nutrition education is a method used to enhance knowledge and improve attitudes and practices regarding nutrition. Although studies prove its effectiveness among school students, there is a lack of evidence showing the effect of nutrition education implemented among university students, moreover those in non-health fields. This article examined various nutrition education programs designed for non-health university students in Indonesia to improve their nutritional knowledge, attitudes, and practices. The literature search was conducted using Google Scholar and Research Gate databases with the keywords in Bahasa Indonesia "edukasi gizi”, “intervensi gizi”, “pendidikan gizi”, and “mahasiswa non-kesehatan”, focusing on studies published between 2019 and 2024. Out of the 13 studies identified, 7 reported an increase in knowledge, 4 showed improvements in both knowledge and attitudes, 1 showed positive changes in knowledge, behaviour, and eating habits, and 1 indicated an increase in nutritional knowledge but the level of behavioral change was not consistently achieved.
