Abstract

prevalence of hypertension in children continues to rise globally, including in coastal areas that face specific challenges in terms of healthcare access, education, and lifestyle. This study aims to identify the factors associated with the risk of hypertension among 7th-grade students at SMP Swasta IT Jannatul Firdaus, Perlis Village. The study used a descriptive qualitative design with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and the school principal, as well as direct observation in the school environment. The instruments used included interview guidelines and observation notes. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that most students had habits of consuming high-salt foods, skipping breakfast regularly, and engaging in minimal physical activity. The school did not yet have specific health programs for early hypertension detection or nutrition education. Additionally, the low socioeconomic status of families influenced students' food choices and lifestyle. The conclusion of this study is that an unhealthy diet, lack of physical activity, insufficient health education, and poor family socioeconomic conditions are significant factors contributing to the risk of hypertension in children. Collaborative intervention among schools, families, and communities is necessary to create an environment that supports healthy living habits from an early age. Abstract

The accumulation of durian peel waste has become an environmental problem due to its large volume and limited utilization, while energy demand continues to increase. This study aims to examine the potential of durian peel waste as a raw material for charcoal briquettes as an alternative and environmentally friendly fuel. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with observational and literature study approaches. The research process involved observing the stages of briquette production, including drying, carbonization, grinding, mixing with a binder, molding, and drying. The results showed that durian peel waste could be processed into charcoal briquettes with good physical characteristics, such as compact structure, uniform shape, and sufficient durability. The produced briquettes were able to ignite easily and generate stable heat, indicating their potential use as an alternative household fuel. This study concludes that utilizing durian peel waste into charcoal briquettes can reduce biomass waste and provide added value as a renewable energy source. Further studies are recommended to conduct quantitative laboratory testing to improve product quality and assess its feasibility for larger-scale production.

Abstract

Health worker job satisfaction is an important aspect in supporting service quality and organizational performance. Various studies show that leadership styles such as transformational, participatory, situational, and supportive styles are strongly associated with increased job satisfaction. This study identified 10 articles published between 2020 and 2025 that met the inclusion criteria, including quantitative studies in various healthcare settings. The synthesis results state that transformational leadership consistently contributes positively to job satisfaction through increased motivation, communication, teamwork, and perceptions of organizational justice. Participative leadership also contributes to increased job satisfaction, although its effectiveness depends on the organizational context. Other factors such as organizational culture, work-life balance, self-efficacy, and work environment were also found to play a role as supporting or mediating variables. These findings emphasize that strengthening the capacity of leaders and implementing a supportive and inspiring leadership style are very important for improving the welfare of health workers and the quality of services. This study is expected to contribute as a reference in the development of managerial policies in health care facilities.
