Abstract

XYZ University, which relies on servers for administrative and academic functions, continues to employ manual temperature monitoring through physical site visits to the server locations.  This method presents a risk of delayed response to temperature fluctuations, which could lead to operational issues and data loss.  This project aims to establish a real-time temperature monitoring system for server rooms, utilizing IoT and employing the HTTP protocol for communication.  The evaluation concentrates on assessing the latency of the HTTP protocol and the dimensions of data packets to verify the system's efficacy in real-time monitoring.  The deployment of this intelligent monitoring system is expected to enhance the effectiveness of temperature regulation in server rooms and reduce the risk of damage from overheating.  The research findings demonstrate that combining IoT with the HTTP protocol yields a more efficient, anticipatory, and sustainable temperature monitoring solution.  Recommendations for future development include the integration of additional protocols, such as MQTT, CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol), or WebSocket.

Abstract

The community service team, comprising faculty and students, implemented initiatives to raise awareness about the rapid advancement of digital technology, which facilitates access to information, communication, and everyday tasks.  Nevertheless, in conjunction with these conveniences, numerous cybercrime concerns have emerged, including phishing, hacking, cyberbullying, and the theft of personal data.  The deficiency in awareness and understanding of these concerns, especially among students, underpins our community service activity.  The events consisted of interactive outreach directed at 11th-grade students in the RPL program at SMKN 1 Katapang—the employed procedures comprised pre-tests, material presentations, phishing web simulations, conversations, and post-tests.  The subjects addressed encompassed categories of cybercrime, its adverse effects, and preventive strategies employing security technology such as firewalls, two-factor authentication (2FA), and SSL.  The findings indicated significant enthusiasm among participants and an enhanced comprehension of digital hazards and the significance of personal data protection.  This effort demonstrates that early education on cybercrime is essential for cultivating a prudent and secure generation in the responsible use of digital technology.

Abstract

Lembang, located near a fault line, demonstrates significant susceptibility, underscoring the need for proactive disaster literacy initiatives. This community service initiative seeks to enhance students' understanding of earthquake disaster mitigation by using digital maps and Google Earth to pinpoint areas, assess potential risks, and formulate disaster risk reduction measures. The implementation technique is a participatory-educational strategy that includes presentations of materials, demonstrations of digital maps, practical exploration of the Lembang Fault area in Google Earth, and interactive conversations. The participants, students from SMP Negeri 2 Lembang, acquired a thorough understanding of fundamental Geographic Information System (GIS) principles, the identification of high-risk areas, and basic visual-spatial analysis simulations. The findings indicate an enhancement in students' understanding of disaster prevention principles and their capacity to analyze digital spatial data. This activity demonstrates that incorporating digital technology into disaster education effectively enhances risk awareness from a school-age perspective.

Abstract

The STEBI Bina Essa Sharia Cooperative offers a range of everyday necessities for its members and the general public, including products from small and medium-sized enterprises and those manufactured by its members.  Nonetheless, other obstacles persist in its operations, including inefficient record-keeping procedures, potential data inaccuracies, misplaced documents, and manual promotional and sales efforts.  Moreover, the personal selling mechanism complicates matters for consumers at a distance, as they must visit the cooperative in person and pay in cash.  This research aims to build and develop a web-based online store for the STEBI Bina Essa Sharia Cooperative.  The author utilizes the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) technique in this study.  The findings suggest that sales may be executed online.  Suggestions for enhancing the online shop design for the STEBI Bina Essa Sharia Cooperative include using larger datasets, specifically through the implementation of a Cloud VPS.
