Abstract

Background: Basketball is a sport that requires high agility to be able to carry out the basic technical movements of the game, but the ability to change direction in basketball requires balance to be agile in changing the direction of movement. Thus, dynamic balance training are recommended as a means of injury prevention and prehabilitation. Therefore, apart from agility training, basketball players also need to do dynamic balance training. One of them is DBT. DBT is given because it increases the player's balance level through the musculoskeletal system which will facilitate neuromuscular ability, readiness and reactions. Objective: to determine the effect of adding DBT after routine training on increasing the agility of basketball players at State High School 1 Wonosari Klaten. Method This study used an experimental design with a randomized two groups pre and post test design conducted in September-October 2023. Subjects were basketball players at State High School 1 Wonosari Klaten who met the inclusion criteria. There were 15 subjects in the treatment group and 15 people in the control group. Agility was measured using the Agility T-Test at the beginning and end of the study. Results: Based on the results of the pre-post test statistics in the treatment group, a value of p=0.000 (p<0.05) was obtained, which means there is an influence. The results of the post test hypothesis test between the treatment group and the control group showed p=0.002 (p><0.05) which means there is an effect.><0.05) was obtained, which means there is an influence. Conclusion: additioning DBT after routine training has an effect on increasing agility in basketball players at State High School 1 Wonosari Klaten.

Abstract

Background: Elderly is the final stage of human development and a person who has reached the age of more than 60 years. The aging process in the elderly causes functional vulnerabilities including in maintaining dynamic balance. The role of physiotherapy in inhibiting the speed of functional disorders in the elderly can be done through the provision of dual task training interventions, which are exercises designed to combine cognitive and motor tasks that are carried out at one time (simultaneously) to improve the ability to perform dual tasks and improve dynamic balance, namely walking. Objective: To determine the effect of dual task training on dynamic balance in the elderly. Method: the research method in the form of an experimental with a one-group research design with control pretest and posttest design was carried out in December 2023 – January 2024. The subjects in this study, namely 60 elderly people who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, were divided into two groups, namely 30 subjects in the treatment group and 30 subjects in the control group. The measuring tool used in this study is the time up and go test (TUGT). Results: based on the results of the statistical test using the paired sample t-test, the result was p=0.000 (p<0.05) which means that there is an effect after being given dual task training on dynamic balance in the elderly, And the results of the different test of the treatment group and the control group using an independent sample T-test obtained a result of p=0.033 (p<0.05), meaning that there was a difference between the treatment group and the control group on walking ability in the elderly. Conclusion: Dual Task Training (motor-cognitive) significantly affects the dynamic balance of the elderly so as to improve the ability to walk in the elderly.

Abstract

Latar belakang: pekerja pabrik atau buruh identik dengan seseorang yang bekerja di suatu pabrik. Seiring dengan kesibukannya seseorang utamanya pekerja sering tidak memperhatikan posisi yang baik (ergonomis) saat beraktivitas sehari-hari. PT. Iskandartex Solo memiliki pekerja sekitar 100 orang dibagian tenun dengan posisi duduk yang static selama 6 hingga 8 jam perhari. Penurunan fleksibilitas otot karena postur yang buruk, gerak yang static dalam durasi yang lama dapat terjadi di otot tubuh mana saja, salah satunya yaitu pada otot hamstring karena dalam posisi duduk dengan durasi yang lama. Static stretching exercise adalah latihan peregangan yang bertujuan untuk memperbaiki fleksibilitas dan mengurangi ketegangan otot. Tujuan : untuk mengetahui pengaruh durasi latihan static stretching terhadap fleksibilitas hamstring pada pekerja pabrik. Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan subjek pekerja di PT. Iskandartex dibagian tenun yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian dengan jumlah 32 subjek dengan menggunakan alat ukur active knee extension test (AKET), jenis penelitian ini menggunakan two group pre-test and post-test design with randomized yang mana kelompok 1 diberi intervensi latihan static stretching 30 detik dan kelompok 2 diberi intervensi latihan static stretching 15 detik. Hasil: (1) hasil paired sample t-test didapatkan nilai p=0.000 yang berarti ada pengaruh latihan static stretching 30 detik terhadap fleksibilitas hamstring, (2) hasil paired sample t-test didapatkan nilai p=0.000 yang berarti ada pengaruh latihan static stretching 15 detik terhadap fleksibilitas hamstring, (3) hasil independent t-test diperoleh tidak ada perbedaan antara latihan static stretching 30 detik dan latihan static stretching 15 detik dalam meningkatkan fleksibilitas hamstring dengan nilai p=0.559 pada genu dextra dan nilai p=0.464 pada genu sinistra, dan (4) hasil selisih mean diperoleh latihan static stretching 15 detik lebih efektif dibandingkan latihan static stretching 30 detik, pada kelompok 1 dengan nilai selisih mean 6.00 pada genu dextra dan 5.44 pada genu sinistra, pada kelompok 2 dengan selisih mean 8.68 pada genu dextra dan 7.50 pada genu sinistra. Kesimpulan: latihan static stretching 15 detik lebih efektif meningkatkan fleksibilitas hamstring pada pekerja pabrik.
