Abstract

This research aims to analyze the lexical and grammatical meaning in the news headlines of the October 2024 edition of Kompas.com. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques, namely library techniques and data analysis techniques, namely content analysis techniques. The aim of this research is to find the lexical and grammatical meaning of the October 2024 edition of the Kompas.com news title, analyze the lexical and grammatical meaning of the October 2024 edition of the Kompas.com news title, explain the meaning of the news that has been analyzed, and find words whose meanings give rise to errors in meaning. The procedures carried out in this research include: 1) Determining the theme, 2) Searching for information, 3) Collecting research data, 4) Presenting the data, and 5) Compiling research results. The technique used is a data analysis technique, using content analysis methods to obtain logical references that can be researched further. The results of the analysis obtained in this research contain the lexical and grammatical meaning of the October edition of the Kompas.com news title. The meaning analysis study proves that we can know the importance of the truth of information in the news title so as to minimize errors in interpreting the title of information in the news and avoid misunderstanding the meaning of the information.

Abstract

Sundanese traditional houses have their own peculiarities in architecture and philosophical values that are very meaningful, such as the traditional house in Naga Village. Naga Village still maintains the typical Sundanese traditional architecture in its buildings, by having a very unique architecture. Thus, this study has the objectives to: (1) describe the traditional house of Kampung Naga, (2) describe the lexicon of tools and materials of traditional houses of Kampung Naga, and (3) describe the lexicon of the construction of traditional houses of Kampung Naga Village. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe the findings of the architectural lexicon of traditional houses in Naga Village. Research data was obtained through observation, interview, documentation, and literature study methods. Furthermore, the data was analyzed using interpretation techniques by sorting out data according to the research subject in the form of traditional houses in Naga Village. The results of the study found that the traditional house of Kampung Naga was built in the form of a stage to adapt to the hilly geographical conditions and have high humidity. The shape and construction of the house are determined by customary rules, a certain time, and harmony with nature. In its construction, tools and materials are obtained from the surrounding nature. Traditional houses are built in cooperation by the community. However, there is a special craftsman named Dulah who has special skills. After conducting the analysis, the researcher found twelve lexicons of tools and materials of the Naga Village traditional house, including: bedog, tatah, palu kai, di-pen, bendo, and others . As for the lexicon of the building of the Naga Village traditional house, there are six lexicons consisting of golodog, goah, kolong, panggangsao, pawon, and suhunan.

Abstract

Slang is a social variation used by certain groups that is very limited, flexible, and typically contemporary. Slang is increasingly widespread in the digital era, with many social media videos using it. Lapor Pak! is a comedy program on the Trans7 YouTube channel that features many slang terms. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques are through documentation studies and field notes. Data analysis techniques in this study include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of the data in this study are in the form of expressions or utterances expressed by comedians in the Lapor Pak! comedy program. The results of this study include 14 slang data, classified into 4 forms of slang according to Bloomfield, in the Lapor Pak! Comedy Program on the Trans7 YouTube channel during the period of January 2026.The abbreviations found include DP, COD, and CEO. The forms of funny mispronunciations found include, among others, dompet pesek, jobder, usus bantu, Dian Sosro, and narcoboy. The shortened forms found include Irjen, bansos, loker, and Kombes. Three forms of slang were found in the comedian's interjections in the video of the Lapor Pak! episode on the Trans7 YouTube channel. The interjections found include yaelah and bacot. Meanwhile, in terms of meaning, there are 11 denotative and 3 connotative meanings. Therefore, knowing the context of slang is very important for understanding how it is used appropriately.
