Abstract

Green waqf is an innovation in waqf asset management that focuses not only on religious values and social welfare, but also on environmental sustainability and ecological balance. This study aims to provide recommendations for community livestock business strategies within the green waqf program in the Tapal Kuda Region, East Java Province. This observation was conducted in Klungkung Village, Arjasa Sub-District, Jember District. The location was selected considering that Klungkung Village is one of the beneficiary villages of Green Waqf through the MoRA Research Program of The Air Fund. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative approach was carried out through observation and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), while the quantitative approach was carried out by filling out a written survey (questionnaire) involving livestock business (stakeholder). The results of the study on the internal analysis show that the location of the x-axis = -0.5, indicating that the weakness factor is higher than the strength factor, and the results of the external analysis show that the location of the y-axis = -2, indicating that the threat factor is higher than the opportunity factor. The most appropriate strategic focus is a defensive strategy, namely minimizing internal weaknesses and avoiding external threats. Recommended strategic actions for smallholder farms are internal rescue, risk mitigation, and restructuring by changing business focus or postponing business expansion.
