Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of training and competency on employee performance, with employee engagement serving as a mediating factor at the Tugu Bali Hotel. The study's population consists of 103 employees of the Tugu Bali Hotel, selected using the probability sampling method. Path analysis was employed to test the research hypotheses. The findings reveal that: 1) Training has a positive and significant impact on employee engagement at the Tugu Bali Hotel; 2) Competency has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement at the Tugu Bali Hotel; 3) Training positively and significantly affects employee performance at the Tugu Bali Hotel; 4) Competency positively influences employee performance at the Tugu Bali Hotel; 5) Employee engagement positively affects employee performance at the Tugu Bali Hotel; 6) Employee engagement serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between training and employee performance at the Tugu Bali Hotel; and 7) Employee engagement acts as a mediating variable in the connection between competency and employee performance at the Tugu Bali Hotel. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the management of the Tugu Bali Hotel focus on enhancing employee training, competency, and engagement to boost overall employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine job stress as an intervening variable in the relationship between the work environment, work conflict, and employee performance at Kayumanis Nusa Dua Private Villa & Spa. The respondents were selected using a disproportional random sampling technique, where 50% of the sub-populations were sampled, resulting in a total of 119 employees. The analysis was conducted using path analysis to test the research hypotheses. The findings revealed the following: 1) The work environment negatively and significantly affected employee job stress; 2) Work conflict positively and significantly influenced employee job stress; 3) The work environment had a positive and significant effect on employee performance; 4) Work conflict had a negative and significant impact on employee performance; 5) Job stress negatively and significantly affected employee performance; 6) Job stress mediated the relationship between the work environment and employee performance; and 7) Job stress also mediated the effect of work conflict on employee performance at Kayumanis Nusa Dua Private Villa & Spa. Based on these results, it is recommended that the management of Kayumanis Nusa Dua Private Villa & Spa focus on improving the work environment, reducing work conflicts, and minimizing job stress to enhance employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence through organizational commitment on employee performance at Moon Bamboo Canggu. The population of this study was all nurses at Moon Bamboo Canggu. The sampling technique in this study used the probability sampling method totaling 149 people. The research analysis technique was carried out using the Parth analysis approach. The results of the analysis show that 1) emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment; 2) Spiritual intelligence has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment; 3) Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; 4) Spiritual intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; 5) Organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; 6) Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on performance through organizational commitment. Organizational commitment can act as an intervening variable in the relationship between emotional intelligence and employee performance; and 7) Spiritual intelligence has a positive and significant effect on performance through organizational commitment. Organizational commitment can act as an intervening variable in the relationship between spiritual intelligence and employee performance at Moon Bamboo Canggu. It is expected that managers at Moon Bamboo Canggu will be able to maintain and improve emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment in an effort to improve employee performance at Moon Bamboo Canggu.
