Abstract

Employee performance is a key factor in achieving organizational goals, especially in the public service sector such as Perumda Pasar Argha Nayottama, Buleleng Regency. Low work effectiveness is often influenced by internal and external factors of employees, including leadership style, social competence, and work motivation. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership, social competence, and work motivation on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to the entire employee population at Perumda Pasar Argha Nayottama. The results of the study indicate that the three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Inspirational and supportive leadership encourages motivation and strengthens social competence. Social competence contributes to the creation of healthy collaboration in the work environment, while work motivation has been proven to be the main driver in increasing employee productivity. Simultaneously, these three variables support each other in forming optimal employee performance. These findings provide practical implications for management to develop an integrated and humanistic human resource approach in improving the quality of public services.

Abstract

Abstract

The increasingly fierce competition in the laundry service industry requires business operators to retain customers by delivering quality service and building relationships based on trust. Customer loyalty is a crucial factor for business sustainability, particularly for laundry businesses that depend on repeat purchases and recommendations from customers. However, loyalty does not form instantly, as it is affected by customer experiences while using the service, including their perception of service quality and level of trust in the service provider. This situation highlights the need for empirical testing of factors that affect customer loyalty at Melia Laundry in Denpasar City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, distributing questionnaires to customers at three Melia Laundry branches. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) to test both direct and indirect effects among variables. The results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Customer trust is also shown to have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. In addition, customer satisfaction serves as a partial mediating variable in the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, and between customer trust and customer loyalty. These findings confirm that enhancing customer loyalty can be achieved by improving service quality and strengthening customer trust, which in turn fosters ongoing customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Public sector organisations face increasingly strong accountability demands, making employee performance an important aspect that must be maintained consistently. KPP Pratama Badung Utara, as a vertical unit of the Directorate General of Taxes, is required to demonstrate stable performance, especially on indicators related to stakeholder and customer perspectives. However, the Organizational Performance Value (NKO) data for the 2022–2024 period shows a decline in several key indicators, indicating the need for an evaluation of internal employee factors. This study examines the role of workload, job satisfaction, and work motivation in explaining variations in the performance of KPP Pratama Badung Utara employees. The study uses a quantitative approach through a survey with a Likert scale questionnaire instrument. The data were analysed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression to test the simultaneous and partial effects between variables. The results of the study indicate that workload, job satisfaction, and work motivation collectively influence employee performance. Partially, job satisfaction and work motivation are proven to be factors that drive performance improvement, while workload shows a relationship that needs to be managed proportionally so as not to reduce productivity. These findings highlight the importance of human resource management strategies in the public sector through proper workload distribution, enhancement of job satisfaction, and development of employee motivation to support sustainable organisational performance.
