Abstract

The transformation of the manual attendance system into an online system has been carried out by various parties, including government agencies, offices, and schools. For example, a school that has implemented an electronic-based learning management system can use the attendance form feature as a way to record students' attendance in the learning process. However, this feature is considered to have shortcomings when applied during face-to-face learning in class because absent students can still fill in from wherever they are as long as they can access the form. The existence of a radius limit is necessary to limit only students who are within the range of the class area to be able to fill out the attendance form. This research aims to design an online presence system by applying the haversine formula using the Extreme Programming method. This formula was chosen because it is suitable for calculating the distance between two coordinate points on the earth's surface assuming the earth is round. Extreme Programming is a method for building fast software systems that consists of planning, design, coding, and testing phases. Through 30 experiments, a percentage of 96.6% was obtained, which shows that the haversine formula can be applied to limit the distance in a presence system.

Abstract

In the digital era, higher education institutions face the challenge of aligning the curriculum with the dynamic demands of the industry. This research aims to identify patterns of student interest in choosing specialization concentrations in the Informatics Study Program (S1), Universitas Sebelas April, using a data-driven decision-making approach. The study involved 133 5th semester students out of a total population of 500 students in the Computer Science program at Sebelas April University. The respondents were selected because they were at the relevant stage of study to determine the specialization concentration, the results of which provide important recommendations for curriculum optimization and resource allocation.Student specialization survey data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, data visualization, and trend analysis to provide data-driven insights to support more efficient academic planning. The results showed that the concentration of "Computer Science, Software, and Intelligent Systems" was more desirable than "System Security and Computer Networks".

Abstract

The increasing reliance on information technology (IT) across various sectors has led to the growing importance of managing IT risks effectively. Information technology systems are prone to a variety of risks, including cybersecurity threats, system failures, and human errors. These risks can have severe consequences, such as financial loss, data breaches, and operational disruptions. To address these challenges, organizations must adopt comprehensive risk management strategies. This literature-based study explores various approaches and frameworks for managing IT risks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and OCTAVE, by reviewing existing research and methodologies. The study aims to identify best practices, challenges, and trends in the field of IT risk management, offering insights into how organizations can improve their risk management strategies to enhance the resilience of their IT systems. Through this literature review, the paper highlights the importance of a systematic approach to IT risk management and provides recommendations for organizations seeking to mitigate risks and safeguard their technological.

Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah kunjungan wisata di Kabupaten Sumedang dari 1.292.992 pengunjung pada tahun 2022 menjadi 1.803.403 pengunjung pada 2023 menunjukkan potensi besar pariwisata yang dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat dan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Salah satu objek wisata unggulan, Wisata Cipanas Cileungsing, memiliki potensi untuk menjadi destinasi utama di Jawa Barat, namun masih menghadapi kendala dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Untuk itu, penelitian ini mengusulkan pengembangan aplikasi berbasis mobile menggunakan metode Human Centered Design (HCD) yang melibatkan pengguna dalam setiap tahap perancangan. Metode ini terdiri dari tahapan memahami konteks penggunaan, spesifikasi kebutuhan pengguna, pembuatan solusi desain, dan evaluasi desain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dirancang dapat meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna dalam mencari informasi dan melakukan pemesanan terkait objek wisata. Pengujian menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS) menghasilkan skor rata-rata 81,08, yang menunjukkan bahwa prototype aplikasi dapat diterima dengan baik oleh pengguna. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut aplikasi mobile yang mendukung promosi dan aksesibilitas pariwisata di Kabupaten Sumedang.

Abstract

This research aims to spread the implementation of blockchain technology in the digital financial sector through a literature study approach. The main issue raised is how blockchain is applied in financial services and what challenges and benefits come with it. The method used was a literature review of 18 relevant scientific articles. The analysis results show that blockchain has been implemented in four main categories, namely cryptocurrency, cross-border payments, decentralized finance (DeFi), and smart contracts. This implementation provides significant benefits such as transparency, cost and time efficiencies, and increased security. However, blockchain implementation still faces serious challenges such as regulatory ambiguity, scalability issues, cybersecurity risks, and low adoption by traditional financial institutions. This research suggests the importance of strengthening regulations, technical innovation, and increasing technological literacy to encourage broader and more effective blockchain implementation in digital financial systems.

Abstract

Jumlah investor saham di Indonesia terus meningkat, sehingga diperlukan model prediksi harga saham yang akurat untuk membantu pengambilan keputusan investasi. Pergerakan harga saham yang volatil menimbulkan risiko tinggi bagi investor, sehingga pendekatan berbasis data menjadi solusi yang relevan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi harga saham Indofood Sukses Makmur (INDF) menggunakan model Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), yang dirancang untuk menangani data deret waktu dengan ketergantungan jangka panjang. Data yang digunakan mencakup harga saham harian dari 2014 hingga 2024, serta indikator teknikal seperti Exponential Moving Average (EMA), Relative Strength Index (RSI), dan Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD). Dataset dibagi menjadi train (70%), validation (15%), dan test (15%), lalu model dilatih selama 250 epoch. Evaluasi menggunakan MSE, RMSE, MAE, dan R² menunjukkan bahwa model memiliki performa yang baik dengan nilai kesalahan rendah (MSE: 0,0010, RMSE: 0,0316, MAE: 0,0244) serta akurasi tinggi (R²: 0,9232). Analisis fitur menunjukkan bahwa harga penutupan ("Close") memiliki pengaruh terbesar terhadap prediksi, diikuti oleh "High" dan EMA_4. Model ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alat bantu bagi investor dalam menganalisis tren pasar saham secara lebih efektif.

Abstract

Distributed ledger technology, better known as blockchain, has emerged as a promising breakthrough in supporting financial inclusion, especially for populations that are not covered by conventional financial frameworks. This paper aims to investigate the contribution of blockchain in boosting financial inclusion compared to the established financial system through a systematic literature review approach. This paper summarizes literature from leading academic databases to identify key findings on the benefits, constraints, and prospects of blockchain development in the financial sector. The analysis shows that blockchain can expand the accessibility of financial services, reduce transaction costs, and provide greater transparency and protection. However, several challenges arise such as the lack of regulatory framework, knowledge disparity, and issues of scalability and interoperability. The conclusion of this review indicates that blockchain has significant potential to boost financial inclusion, but collaborative efforts from governments, corporations, and technology innovators are needed to overcome these obstacles. This paper provides an in-depth understanding of the opportunities and challenges of blockchain implementation and recommendations for further research.

Abstract

Evaluating system security is a crucial step in preventing data breaches and application disruptions. This research focuses on evaluating the security of the E-Office Desa application in Sumedang Regency using the Indeks KAMI as its assessment method. Indeks KAMI is designed to measure the maturity level and effectiveness of information security management within an organization. The data processed was collected from questionnaires distributed to village officials in Sumedang Regency. This evaluation covers six main domains: Governance, Risk Management, Information Security Framework, Asset Management, Information Technology and Security, and Personal Data Protection. Based on the analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaire distribution, the security level of the E-Office Desa application in Sumedang Regency is at maturity level III, which indicates "sufficient" security. However, several improvements and enhancements are still needed in certain security aspects to protect the sensitive data contained within the E-Office Desa application's database.

Abstract

The development of information technology encourages village governments to adopt digital systems in improving services, including in the field of staffing. However, the readiness of village officials in using this information system is often a major challenge. This study aims to measure the level of readiness of village officials in Tanjungmedar District in adopting a personnel information system using the Technology Readiness Index (TRI) model. This model analyzes four psychological dimensions, namely optimism, innovativeness, discomfort, and insecurity. The study involved all village officials in nine villages in Tanjungmedar District with a total of 96 respondents. Data were collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using validity, reliability, and TRI calculations. The research results showed a total TRI score of 3.38, which falls into the medium readiness index category. The variables of optimism and innovation received high scores, 1.02 and 1.03 respectively, while discomfort and insecurity scored lower, at 0.66 and 0.68. The research results indicate the need to improve aspects of comfort and security in the use of the information system. As a recommendation, technical training and system improvements are suggested to support optimal adaptation of information technology.

Abstract

Aplikasi SIMPATI adalah Sistem Informasi Penanganan Stunting Terintegrasi yang dikembangkan oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Sumedang untuk membantu menangani masalah stunting. Sampai saat ini, aplikasi SIMPATI belum pernah melakukan evaluasi pengalaman pengguna. Penelitian ini berfokus pada evaluasi pengalaman pengguna aplikasi SIMPATI berbasis mobile di Kecamatan Sumedang Utara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengalaman pengguna saat menggunakan aplikasi SIMPATI berbasis mobile, yang meliputi konten, akurasi, format, kemudahan penggunaan, dan ketepatan waktu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan fokus pada pengguna aplikasi SIMPATI di Kecamatan Sumedang Utara, sehingga sampel yang diambil adalah 87 orang dari populasi sebanyak 642 menggunakan rumus Slovin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden memberikan penilaian yang tinggi terhadap tingkat kepuasan pada setiap variabel. Variabel konten memiliki nilai 83,76%, variabel akurasi memiliki nilai 83%, variabel format memiliki nilai 82,4%, variabel kemudahan penggunaan memiliki nilai 84,1%, dan variabel ketepatan waktu memiliki nilai 82,68%. Ini berarti bahwa pengguna aplikasi SIMPATI berbasis mobile di Kecamatan Sumedang Utara memiliki tingkat kepuasan yang sangat tinggi terhadap kualitas aplikasi mobile tersebut.
