Abstract

Peningkatan ekonomi harus dilakukan untuk memberikan dampak kesejahteraan pada masyarakat, dengan diadakannya pelatihan pembuatan sabun minyak kelapa dan ekstrak lavender sebagai bentuk pemberdayaan ibu-ibu PKK Desa Jepangpakis dalam mengembangkan produk herbal yang bernilai tambah. Kegiatan ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pembuatan sabun sekaligus memanfaatkan potensi lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan praktis dan diskusi interaktif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2024 di Balai Desa Jepangpakis, diikuti oleh 30 peserta. Kriteria inklusi adalah ibu-ibu Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga yang berminat dalam pembuatan produk berbasis bahan alami. Tahapan kegiatan mencakup pengenalan bahan, proses saponifikasi, pembuatan sabun, serta pengemasan produk. Variabel yang dievaluasi meliputi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta, keterampilan pembuatan sabun, dan antusiasme peserta. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah pre-test dan post-test. Analisis data dilakukan dengan perbandingan nilai pre-test dan post-test untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan, serta analisis kualitatif untuk mengevaluasi antusiasme peserta. Peserta awalnya memiliki pemahaman terbatas, setelah diadakan pelatihan pemahaman pengetahuan peserta meningkat sebesar 40-60%. Rekomendasi dari kegiatan ini adalah melanjutkan pelatihan lanjutan dan pendampingan dalam pemasaran produk untuk meningkatkan daya saing.AbstractEconomic improvement must be carried out to have a welfare impact on the community, with the holding of training in making coconut oil soap and lavender extract as a form of empowerment for PKK women in Japanpakis Village in developing value-added herbal products. This activity aims to improve the skills of soap making skills while utilizing local potential. The methods used are practical training and interactive discussions. The activity was carried out in December 2024 at the Japanpakis Village Hall, attended by 30 participants. Inclusion criteria are mothers of Family Welfare Empowerment who are interested in making products based on natural ingredients. The activity stages include introduction of ingredients, saponification process, soap making, and product packaging. The evaluated variables include the increase in participant knowledge, soap making skills, and participant enthusiasm. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test. Data analysis was carried out by comparing pre-test and post-test scores to determine the increase in knowledge, as well as qualitative analysis to evaluate the enthusiasm of participants. Participants initially had limited understanding, after the training the understanding of participants' knowledge increased by 40-60%. The recommendation from this activity is to continue further training and assistance in product marketing to increase competitiveness.

Abstract

This study analyzed the phytochemical content and antioxidant activity of kersen leaf extract (Muntingia calabura L.) obtained with 70 % ethanol and ethyl acetate through a chemometric approach. Extraction is carried out by maceration, total flavonoids are determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometry with quercetin, while total phenolics with gallic acid. Antioxidant activity was tested using the DPPH method and the IC₅₀ value was calculated. The results showed that the total flavonoid content in 70% ethanol extract was 3.374 ± 0.082 mg EK/mL, while in ethyl acetate extract it was 2.726 ± 0.014 mg EK/mL. The total phenolic content in 70% ethanol extract was 152.34 ± 5.71 mg EAG/mL, while in ethyl acetate extract it was 262.78 ± 6.27 mg EAG/mL. The highest antioxidant activity was obtained from ethyl acetate extract with an IC₅₀ value of 34.45 ± 1.23 μg/mL, while ethanol extract 70% showed an IC₅₀ value of 42.35 ± 7.22 μg/mL. Chemometric analysis using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) showed a relationship between the 70% ethanol flavonoid content and ethyl acetate on the antioxidant activity of the DPPH method.
