Abstract

Simpulan : Distribusi frekuensi penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan kadar HbA1c tinggi yaitu ≥7,0 mg/dL menunjukan hasil 60% (18 pasien) AbstractDiabetes mellitus is a global health crisis caused by rapid urbanization, changing lifestyles and poor diet (Widiasari et al., 2021). Diabetes mellitus is a genetic disease that is usually inherited from both parents or one of them, where the offspring of diabetes mellitus sufferers are twice as likely to develop diabetes mellitus. Basically, diabetes mellitus has many types, one of the types that is often found is type 2 diabetes mellitus. To determine the relationship between hba1c and triglyceride levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus sufferers at the Srikandi Husada Kudus Clinic. This type of research is analytical observational with The Cross Sectional method used a total sampling of 30 samples of type 2 DIABETES sufferers who met the inclusion criteria. Inclusion criteria are patients suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus who take part in the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) at the Srikandi Husada Kudus Clinic, type 2 diabetes mellitus patients aged between 30-75 years. Chi Square test for HbA1c levels and triglyceride levels in sufferers type 2 diabetes mellitus obtained a p value = 0.020 (p 0.05) which indicates that statistically there is a significant relationship between HbA1c levels and triglyceride levels. Frequency distribution of type 2 diabetes mellitus sufferers with high HbA1c levels, namely ≥7.0 mg/dL showed results of 60% (18 patients)

Abstract

The decline in physiological functions in the elderly due to the aging process can be accompanied by degenerative diseases that can limit the independence of the elderly in activities of daily living (ADL). The task of families who act as primary caregiver s is very crucial, but is often hampered by limited knowledge and technical skills. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of family caregiver s in caring for the elderly with degenerative diseases independently at home. The location of this community service was carried out in Singocandi Village, Kudus Regency on April 20, 2026 with a total of 34 participants. The training methods used included interactive lectures (mini lectures), focus group discussions (FGDs), simulations and direct practice (hands-on practice), empathetic communication roleplays, educational video screenings and reflections. Evaluation of this training was carried out through pre-test and post-test instruments. The results of this training showed a significant increase in participant understanding, from an average score (mean) of 52% in the pre-test to 88% in the post-test. The results of the paired T-test statistical test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results of the training participants (p < 0.05). The conclusion based on these results is that this care training is effective in increasing the capacity of family caregiver s in optimizing care for the elderly with degenerative diseases. For more optimal results, longer-term training and mentoring by caregiver s is required.
