Abstract

Semakin bertambahnya jumlah permintaan akan knob regulator kompor gas, maka pabrik knob regulator kompor gas ingin menambah kapasitas produksi. Proses pembuatan produk menggunakan proses injection molding. Salah satu cara untuk menambah kapasitas produksi pada pabrik knob regulator gas adalah dengan cara membuat mold dengan desain baru yang memiliki kapasitas produksi lebih dari mold yang telah ada. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode Verein Deutsche Inginieuer 2222 (VDI 2222). Tahapan dalam perancangan adalah analisis mengenai informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam merancang desain mold, selanjutnya membuat konsep rancangan desain mold berdasarkan tujuan, setelah itu membuat desain bagian mold berdasarkan konsep rancangan. Setelah tahapan desain mold menghitung biaya pembuatan mold. Dengan desain mold yang baru dapat menambah kapasitas produksi dan menekan biaya produksi pabrik knob regulator kompor gas. Kata Kunci: knob regulator kompor gas, kapasitas produksi, injection molding, Verein Deutsche Inginieuer 2222, mold   ABSTRACT The increasing number of demand for gas stove knob regulator, so the factory of gas stove knob regulator wants to increase production capacity. The process of making products use injection molding process. One way to increase the production capacity of the plant is the gas regulator knob by making a mold with a new design which has a production capacity over the existing mold. This design method Verein Deutsche Inginieuer 2222 (VDI 2222). Stages ini design is an analysis of the information needed in designing mold, then make a mold design concept design based on the purpose, after it makes the design of the mold based on the concept of design. Abstract

Pos Indonesia is a delivery service provider company that has a central distribution center in theregion of West Java, which is the Mail Processing Center Bandung. MPC Bandung has a function to regulatethe distribution of packages according to the destination area. The company has a target to minimizetransportation costs when shipping goods. The delivery process carried out by MPC Bandung can bemodeled as the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). This research focuses on the efficiency of the distributionroutes of documents and packages to 12 destination post offices in the secondary West Java Region. Analysiswas conducted using two classical heuristic methods, Clarke and Wright Savings and Nearest Neighbor, withthe aim of obtaining a more optimal route in order to minimize transportation costs. Alternative 2, which isdesigned using the CAWSA method, was chosen to be the best alternative because it produces the shortestmileage output of 894.2 km per day with a savings of 54.11% on the existing route, which has a total mileageof 1,948.7 km. This alternative was chosen as a proposed route improvement for the company. Thetransportation cost efficiency was obtained at 50.94% from Rp. 115.546.200 for the existing route to Rp.56,686,500 for the selected route.

Abstract

Efficient distribution is a critical factor in the food sales industry to ensure product quality, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The reliance on third-party online delivery services for distributing raw food ingredients has created significant logistics costs for a healthy food company in Bandung. To address this issue, the company aims to manage its own logistics using available delivery vehicles. The main challenge lies in determining the optimal delivery route that minimizes time and cost while serving an increasing number of outlets. This study applies a constructive heuristic approach to the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP), since no prior research has examined delivery routes for this company. Constructive heuristics are chosen for their ability to provide feasible solutions that are easy and quick to implement. Two methods are employed: the Nearest Neighbor and the Nearest Insertion. The results indicate that the Nearest Neighbor method produces a total distance of 70.3 km, while the Nearest Insertion yields 68.1 km. Thus, the Nearest Insertion method achieves a shorter route by 2.2 km, equivalent to a 3.1% reduction compared with Nearest Neighbor. Based on these findings, the Nearest Insertion method is selected as the optimal route. This research provides a practical initial framework for improving logistics efficiency in food distribution and can serve as a foundation for future optimization studies.

Abstract

The demand for products that require high precision is increasing. Therefore the production process with CNC machines is highly crucial. In the milling machining process, the roughing process takes the most time. The suitable selection of tools combination for the machining area will reduce the machining time. Roughing process sometimes cannot process the machining area with the minimum gap size. The research is to develop tools combination selection algorithm with the criteria of reducing machining time by considering the minimum gap in the workpiece machining area. The first stage is the preprocessing stage, which aims to initiate the tool size that can be used in the workpiece machining process and tools size grouping for the smallest gap machining process. The second stage is genetic algorithm (GA) stage, which aims to find the best tools combination according to the objective function. The sequence in the GA stage is determining initial solution, parents selection, crossover, mutation, regeneration, and determining the best solution. The developed algorithm has been tested on four workpieces. Characteristics of the features were tested on two closed pocket workpieces with island, each open pocket with island, and close pocket without island. Development of tools combination selection algorithm can assist in determining the best tools size to minimize the machining time.

Abstract

High distribution costs pose a significant challenge for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), such as Dietgo Kitchen in Bandung, which inefficiently relies on third-party online delivery services to distribute ingredients to its seven branches. This point-to-point logistics issue increases total operational costs and erodes profit margins. To address this, an intervention in the form of Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) Implementation Training and Mentoring was conducted for the company's distribution team, aimed at utilizing the company's unoptimized food trucks for autonomous delivery. The training focused on mastering the VRP heuristic methods, namely Nearest Neighbor and Nearest Insertion, to determine optimal delivery routes from the central warehouse to all outlets. This mentoring included actual field data acquisition, route simulations, and structured delivery management training. Evaluation results showed a significant positive impact, with a 43.71% reduction in delivery costs compared to the average of the previous three months. While employee adaptation to the new VRP system and methods is still required, this implementation demonstrates that VRP is an effective strategic instrument for achieving delivery route efficiency and reducing routine operational costs for SMEs.

Abstract

Gudang obat Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Jawa Barat merupakan pusat pengeluaran obat yang memiliki beragam data terkait pengeluaran obat pada tahun 2023. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa obat dalam bentuk tablet menjadi satuan yang paling dominan dalam proses pengeluaran, dengan jumlah pengeluaran mencapai 3.648 kali ke seluruh fasilitas kesehatan atau Dinkes Kota/Kabupaten di seluruh Jawa Barat. Mengingat signifikansi penggunaan obat tablet, penelitian ini mengusulkan penerapan analisis forecasting demand sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi manajemen persediaan obat. Dengan memprediksi permintaan obat tablet, Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Jawa Barat dapat lebih efektif menyiapkan stok obat, mengurangi risiko kekurangan atau kelebihan stok, dan menjawab permintaan pasar yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil olah data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis Forecasting Regresi Linear Sederhana program obat Antiretroviral (ARV) diperoleh MAPE sebesar 69%, lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan MAPE dari analisis Forecasting Single Exponential Smoothing yaitu sebesar 83,780%. Sedangkan, untuk program obat Buffer analisis Forecasting Single Exponential Smoothing lebih akurat dibandingkan analisis Forecasting Regresi Linear Sederhana dikarenakan hasil perhitungan MAPE dari analisis exponential smoothing sebesar 79,088% lebih kecil dibandingkan perhitungan MAPE Regresi Linear Sederhana 85%. Diharapkan model analisis peramalan permintaan dapat menjadi alat strategis bagi gudang obat Departemen Kesehatan dalam mengatasi tantangan manajemen inventaris obat, sekaligus mengurangi biaya pengadaan obat secara keseluruhan.
