Abstract

The family has health tasks that aim to prevent health problems and care for sick family members. There are five health tasks that must be carried out by the family properly. The implementation of these family health tasks cannot be separated from the cultural factors possessed by the family, such as in the Minangkabau tribe which adheres to the patrilineal system. This study aims to identify the implementation of family health tasks in the Minangkabau tribe in Nogo Rejo Village, Galang District. The research design is Analytical Correlation. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. A sample of 46 people consisted of 28 male respondents and 18 female respondents. This study was conducted on November 23, 2024 - January 12, 2025. Data collection was carried out using a family health task questionnaire which included demographic data and family health tasks. Then the data obtained was processed using descriptive analysis to determine the frequency distribution and percentage. The results showed that almost two-thirds (2/3) of respondents carried out family health tasks in the Minangkabau tribe with a good category (63.04%). The conclusion of this study shows that the implementation of family health tasks in the Minangkabau tribe is included in the good category (63.04%).

Abstract

Elderly or old age is a closing period in a person's life span, namely a period where a person has moved far from the previous period that was enjoyable, or moved from a time full of benefits. Along with the continuation of age, health problems begin to experience disorders, especially chronic diseases. In this case, the emergence of chronic diseases will affect the elderly in their social interactions with others. This study aims to identify changes in the social interactions of the elderly with chronic diseases using the Analytical Correlation design, using purposive side as many as 43 respondents. The study was conducted in October 2024-January 2025. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The data that has been collected was analyzed using a computerized system. From the results of the analysis, 88.4% of respondents experienced changes in social interactions or the social interactions of the elderly were categorized as bad. The results of this study recommend that nurses improve nursing care for the elderly with chronic diseases towards changes in their social interactions.

Abstract

Community empowerment in preventing stunting must involve various parties, including local governments, health workers, community leaders, and families. This can be done by increasing access to quality health, nutrition, and sanitation services in Boang Manalu Village, Pakpak Bharat Regency. Health workers also have an important role in community empowerment. They can provide education and training to the community about the importance of balanced nutrition, introduction to complementary feeding, and the importance of a healthy diet. In addition, they can also monitor and evaluate the nutritional status of children in Boang Manalu Village, Pakpak Bharat Regency. Based on the results of a survey conducted on December 19, 2024 in Boang Manalu Village, Families need to be aware of the importance of preventing stunting and adopting a healthy and nutritious diet for their children. In addition, they need to access and health services related to stunting prevention, such as immunization, exclusive breastfeeding, and complementary feeding. By making community empowerment efforts in preventing stunting in Boang Manalu Village, Pakpak Bharat Regency, it is hoped that it can reduce the prevalence of stunting in the area. This has a positive impact on the growth and development of children in Boang Manalu Village, Pakpak Bharat Regency, as well as improving their quality of life and future.

Abstract

Elderly health in physical and mental can be influenced by several factors, both from the health of the elderly themselves, or the elderly family in caring for the elderly. This activity aims to provide information or counseling to the elderly and the community or other elderly families on how to care for the elderly and provide direction on what the elderly need in terms of physical and mental in the elderly's ability to carry out daily activities with a history of degenerative and chronic diseases. Information is provided by educating the elderly, which is given directly by visiting the elderly's home. To measure the effectiveness of education for the elderly's family, as well as interviews to deepen the condition of the elderly. Based on the results of a survey conducted on January 16, 2025 in Ladang Bambu Village. The results of education can be seen from social interactions in the elderly with chronic diseases, showing no significant improvement. Based on the results of education to the elderly, it was found that the problems in the elderly were in physical health (diet, lifestyle, sleep patterns and exercise), and mental health (the family rarely asked for news).
