Abstract

Elderly or old age is a closing period in a person's life span, namely a period where a person has moved far from the previous period that was enjoyable, or moved from a time full of benefits. Along with the continuation of age, health problems begin to experience disorders, especially chronic diseases. In this case, the emergence of chronic diseases will affect the elderly in their social interactions with others. This study aims to identify changes in the social interactions of the elderly with chronic diseases using the Analytical Correlation design, using purposive side as many as 43 respondents. The study was conducted in October 2024-January 2025. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The data that has been collected was analyzed using a computerized system. From the results of the analysis, 88.4% of respondents experienced changes in social interactions or the social interactions of the elderly were categorized as bad. The results of this study recommend that nurses improve nursing care for the elderly with chronic diseases towards changes in their social interactions.

Abstract

Teenagers who used to be very attached to the family system, cultural customs and existing customary values, are now experiencing erosion caused by rapid urbanization and industrialization, this is also followed by a media revolution that is open to various lifestyles and career choices. These various things have resulted in increased vulnerability of adolescents to various diseases, especially those related to premarital, sexual and reproductive sexual health, including the increasing threat of HIV/AIDS. Method: Empowerment of Adolescent Behavior about reproductive health in premarital sex. Results: Participants in this activity amounted to 25 teenagers in Ladang Bambu sub-district, Medan Tuntungan district. Based on the results of a survey conducted on March 12, 2025 in Ladang Bambu Village, Medan Tuntungan District. In its implementation, the objectives of the dangers of reproductive health were explained, Benefits: how to detect premarital sexual behavior. Furthermore, it is explained how adolescents can avoid premarital sex so as not to interfere with reproductive health. Conclusion: community service activities are carried out based on health counseling and education. Community service activities were carried out on March 12, 2025. Abstract

Elderly health in physical and mental can be influenced by several factors, both from the health of the elderly themselves, or the elderly family in caring for the elderly. This activity aims to provide information or counseling to the elderly and the community or other elderly families on how to care for the elderly and provide direction on what the elderly need in terms of physical and mental in the elderly's ability to carry out daily activities with a history of degenerative and chronic diseases. Information is provided by educating the elderly, which is given directly by visiting the elderly's home. To measure the effectiveness of education for the elderly's family, as well as interviews to deepen the condition of the elderly. Based on the results of a survey conducted on January 16, 2025 in Ladang Bambu Village. The results of education can be seen from social interactions in the elderly with chronic diseases, showing no significant improvement. Based on the results of education to the elderly, it was found that the problems in the elderly were in physical health (diet, lifestyle, sleep patterns and exercise), and mental health (the family rarely asked for news).

Abstract

Teenagers or "adolescence" (English), comes from the Latin "adolescere" which means growing towards maturity. The maturity in question is not only physical maturity, but also social and psychological maturity. This study is descriptive in nature with the aim of determining the Behavioral Factors of adolescents regarding the impact of premarital sex at SMA Parulian 1 Medan in 2025. Data collection was carried out on Sept - Jan, 2025. The population in this study were all adolescents at SMA Parulian 1 Medan, totaling 146 people. The sample of this study is part of the object being studied. The sample size in this study was obtained through stratified random sampling and after that it was carried out again with the simple random sampling formula. Based on the results of the study, it was found that out of 84 respondents, 40 respondents (47.6%) had good knowledge, 41 respondents (48%) had sufficient knowledge, and 3 respondents (3.5%) had insufficient knowledge. Getting information sources from media (electronic, print) as many as 50 respondents (59.5%), from health workers as many as 25 respondents (29.8%), and from friends as many as 9 respondents (10.7%). It turns out that teenagers who have sufficient knowledge are more than those who have good and less knowledge, due to the lack of information obtained by teenagers. It is hoped that teenagers will be more active in seeking information about reproductive health.
