Abstract

The development of digital technology demands innovation in mathematics education at the elementary school level, particularly regarding data processing topics, which students still find challenging. Low learning interest and a lack of student engagement in understanding the concepts of mean, median, and mode are issues that need to be addressed through the use of interactive learning media. This study aims to develop and test the validity and practicality of "MEMODI," a Canva-based interactive mathematics learning medium for fifth-grade data processing materials. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at SDN 4 Nagri Kaler. Data collection techniques included validation sheets from material and media experts, as well as student response questionnaires. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques by calculating feasibility percentages. The results indicated that the "MEMODI" learning medium achieved a very high validity score, with an average percentage of 92.25%, and a practicality level of 95%, falling into the "very practical" category. The implementation of the medium showed that the use of Canva was able to increase student engagement, facilitate the understanding of mean, median, and mode concepts, and support independent learning through interactive features and direct feedback. Consequently, the Canva-based interactive learning medium "MEMODI" is declared valid, practical, and feasible for use as an alternative mathematics learning medium in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Canva yang digunakan pada materi mengonstruksi dan mengurai bangun ruang untuk peserta didik kelas VI sekolah dasar dengan mengacu pada tahapan berpikir geometri dalam teori Van Hiele. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan prosedur ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan media, pengembangan produk, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, serta evaluasi hasil. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 04 Bambu Apus dengan melibatkan 25 peserta didik kelas VI sebagai subjek penelitian. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui proses validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media menggunakan lembar penilaian, serta melalui penyebaran angket kepada peserta didik untuk mengetahui respon terhadap media yang digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli, media pembelajaran menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan yang sangat tinggi dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 92,49%. Sementara itu, hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran memiliki tingkat kepraktisan sebesar 87,60% dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis. Media yang dikembangkan mampu membantu peserta didik memahami konsep bangun ruang melalui penyajian visual yang menarik dan alur materi yang terstruktur, sehingga dapat mendukung perkembangan kemampuan berpikir geometri sesuai dengan teori Van Hiele. Media pembelajaran berbasis Canva yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak dan dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher competence and the availability of facilities and infrastructure as supporting factors in music learning at elementary schools. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA guidelines. The literature search process was conducted through the Google Scholar database using the Publish or Perish application, covering publications from 2020 to 2025. Based on the selection process, 26 articles that met the inclusion criteria were obtained and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results indicate that teacher competence and the availability of facilities and infrastructure play an important role in the success of music learning in elementary schools. The main challenges identified include limited teacher professional competence, lack of mastery of music teaching methods, and insufficient facilities such as musical instruments, learning media, and supporting technology. On the other hand, the use of digital media, simple musical instruments, and creative learning approaches has proven effective in improving students’ motivation, creativity, and musical skills. In addition, proper management of facilities and infrastructure also supports the creation of more effective and enjoyable music learning. Therefore, improving the quality of music learning requires strengthening teacher competence and providing adequate facilities and infrastructure so that the learning process can run optimally
