Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan berbicara di depan umum merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting yang mendukung pengembangan karakter kepemimpinan di kalangan siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi kepemimpinan yang komunikatif melalui pelatihan wicara publik bagi siswa MAN 2 Kota Jambi. Kegiatan dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kepercayaan diri siswa dalam menyampaikan gagasan di depan publik, yang berdampak pada kurang optimalnya potensi kepemimpinan mereka. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan partisipatif (participatory training) menggunakan model learning by doing, yang terdiri atas tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Peserta mengikuti pemaparan materi, praktik berbicara, serta diskusi interaktif dengan narasumber. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam hal kepercayaan diri, penyusunan gagasan yang terstruktur, dan keterampilan berbicara di depan umum. Peserta juga lebih memahami pentingnya komunikasi efektif dalam menjalankan peran kepemimpinan di lingkungan sekolah. Hasil dari pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap pembentukan karakter kepemimpinan komunikatif dan direkomendasikan untuk dilanjutkan secara berkelanjutan dalam bentuk program pengembangan diri siswa. Kata Kunci: Penguatan Karakter, Kepemimpinan Siswa, Pengembangan Keterampilan, Wicara Publik, MAN 2 Kota Jambi.  ABSTRACT Public speaking is an essential skill that supports the development of leadership character among students. This community service activity aimed to enhance communicative leadership competence through public speaking training for students of MAN 2 Kota Jambi. The activity was motivated by the low level of students’ confidence in expressing ideas in public, which hinders the optimal development of their leadership potential. The program was carried out using a participatory training approach with a learning by doing model, consisting of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. Participants attended material presentations, practiced public speaking, and engaged in interactive discussions with the facilitators. The results showed an improvement in students’ confidence, structured idea formulation, and public speaking skills. Participants also demonstrated a better understanding of effective communication as a key aspect of leadership within the school environment. The result of training had a positive impact on building communicative leadership character and is recommended to be continued as a sustainable self-development program for students. Keywords: Character Building, Student Leadership, Skills Development, Public Speaking; Man 2 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the formulation of the vision, mission and values at SDIT Ash-Shidiqi Jambi City. The main focus of this study is to understand the process of formulating the vision, mission, and values carried out by the school, and how these three elements reflect the identity and educational goals to be achieved. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative study with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the formulation of the vision, mission, and values at SDIT Ash-Shidiqi involved the participation of various parties, including the principal, teachers, parents, and the committee. The formulated vision reflects the goal of creating a generation that is noble, creative, independent, knowledgeable, and digitally proficient. The school's mission covers various aspects, including character development, fostering student religiosity, and developing digital technology. The values held by the school focus on honesty, responsibility, and cooperation. Thus, the formulation of the vision, mission, and values at SDIT Ash-Shidiqi, Jambi City is an important foundation in determining the direction of education and optimizing student character development.
