Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana variabel gaya belajar mempengaruhi keterampilan menulis teks pidato siswa kelas VIII di SMP IT Bintang Rahmatullah. Penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen, melibatkan 31 siswa sebagai sampel, dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner gaya belajar serta tes keterampilan menulis sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Uji prasyarat untuk normalitas dan homogenitas digunakan untuk pengolahan data, kemudian hipotesis diuji dengan regresi linier sederhana guna mengidentifikasi sejauh mana pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan menulis teks pidato. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya belajar siswa dan keterampilan mereka dalam menulis teks pidato memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan, dengan kontribusi sebesar 71,6%. Gaya belajar visual ditemukan paling dominan pada kelas tersebut. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi baru dengan secara spesifik mengkaji pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap keterampilan menulis teks pidato, suatu topik yang masih jarang diteliti sebelumnya.The Influence of Learning Styles on Speech Writing Skills in Eighth-Grade Students at SMP IT Bintang RahmatullahThis study aims to describe how learning style variables affect the speech writing skills of eighth-grade students at SMP IT Bintang Rahmatullah. The study used a quantitative research type with an experimental design, involving 31 students as a sample, and data collection was carried out through a learning style questionnaire and a writing skills test before and after treatment. Prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity were used for data processing, then the hypothesis was tested with simple linear regression to identify the extent of the influence of learning styles on speech writing skills. The research findings showed that students' learning styles and their skills in writing speech texts had a significant influence, with a contribution of 71.6%. Visual learning styles were found to be the most dominant in the class. This study provides a new contribution by specifically examining the influence of learning styles on speech writing skills, a topic that has rarely been studied before.
