Abstract

This study aims to analyse the concept of directing in the Qur'an and Hadith and its relevance to Islamic educational leadership practices. The method used is qualitative research with a thematic interpretation and Hadith approach (maudhu‘i), through analysis of Qur’anic verses and Hadiths related to directing, leadership, and the educational process. The data is analysed descriptively and analytically to identify the basic principles of directing from an Islamic perspective. The results of the study show that directing in Islam is carried out based on the values of trust, justice, wisdom, and deliberation, and is applied through the targhib wa tarhib pattern as a form of educational guidance. These findings confirm that the function of directing is not only oriented towards achieving organisational goals, but also towards shaping the moral and spiritual dimensions of Islamic educational leadership. Thus, the concept of directing based on the Qur'an and Hadith has an important contribution to supporting the practice of character-based and sustainable Islamic educational leadership.

Abstract

This study explores environment-based learning from an Islamic philosophical perspective. The main objective of this scholarly work is to uncover the ontological, epistemological, and axiological foundations of environmental education grounded in the values of the Qur’an and the Islamic intellectual tradition. Employing a philosophical literature review approach, this study examines key concepts such as khalīfah (human stewardship over the earth), mīzān (balance), the prohibition of isrāf (extravagance), and amanah (trust and responsibility). The findings reveal that environment-based learning in Islam is not merely pragmatic but deeply rooted in theological awareness and spiritual ethics. Islamic environmental education aims to cultivate ecological character, foster moral responsibility, and encourage sustainable behavior as an expression of servitude to Allah SWT. This study recommends the integration of Islamic values into curricula, teaching methods, and assessment systems in Islamic educational institutions to develop a holistic and sustainability-oriented educational paradigm.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the position of philosophy in relation to science, art, and religion from an Islamic perspective. The study uses a qualitative-philosophical approach with a literature review method of classical and contemporary sources discussing Islamic philosophy, epistemology, and the integration of science. The data is analysed through reflective and comparative reasoning to identify the role of philosophy in building interdisciplinary relationships. The results show that philosophy functions as an epistemological framework that bridges reason and revelation in religion, provides an ontological basis for the development of science, and serves as a conceptual foundation for aesthetic expression in art. From an Islamic perspective, philosophy, science, art, and religion are not in conflict with one another, but rather complement each other within the framework of tawhid, which affirms the unity of knowledge, beauty, and faith.

Abstract

This article aims to analyse the Ulumul Qur'an paradigm as the basis for strengthening value-based Islamic Education Management (MPI). This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. The data sources are secondary data obtained from the Ulumul Qur'an book, thematic Qur'anic interpretations, Islamic education management books, and relevant scientific journal articles. The data collection technique was carried out through searching and documenting literature related to Qur'anic values and educational management practices. The data were analysed using content analysis through a process of data reduction, concept categorisation, and thematic interpretation. The results of the study show that Ulumul Qur'an not only functions as a normative-theological discipline but also has epistemological, axiological, and practical relevance in strengthening Islamic education management. Qur'anic values such as amanah, itqan, shura, 'adl, and mas'uliyyah play an important role in strengthening leadership, planning, decision-making, and quality evaluation of Islamic educational institutions. These findings confirm that the Ulumul Qur'an paradigm can be a conceptual foundation for the development of ethical and sustainable Islamic educational management.
