Abstract

Gender issues are still considered important issues in the last decade. Issues that arise are issues around gender inequality such as women's inheritance rights, witnesses, guardianship, leadership, social constructs, and so on. Men and women basically have the same pattern of gender relations, namely experiencing dehumanization. Gender injustice in women is considered as the cause of dehumanization, while in men dehumanization is due to their tendency to perpetuate gender oppression. The relationship pattern between the two will never be harmonious and find common ground if the relationship pattern between the two still justifies each other about patriarchal culture. This research is included in the category of literature research, with a qualitative approach. The primary source of the Qur'an will be explained based on the books of tafsir that are referenced in this study. Then it is analyzed descriptively to get a precise picture of the pattern of gender relations in the Qur'an. This article concludes that social transformation in gender relations according to the perspective of the Qur'an consists of four main elements. First, there is a transformation in personal activity, including dress etiquette, food opportunities, a shift from negative stereotypes to respect, and a shift from seductive stereotypes to noble personalities. Second, transformation is taking place in domestic activities, especially in terms of changes in inheritance rights for women. Third, there is a transformation in concern for the environment. Fourth, there are transformations in public activities, such as a shift from patriarchal culture to bilateral culture, recognition of the right to allegiance for women, the right to education, the right to witness, democratic respect for women's opinions, opportunities to achieve achievements in the public sphere, the role of women in medical personnel, and religious tolerance. This article concludes that the Qur'anic perspective provides the foundation for positive social transformation in gender relations.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan tentang eksplorasi potensi anak yatim melalui pendidikan kemandirian menciptakan pembelajaran yang komunikatif, kolaboratif, kreatif, dan konstruktif, yang dilandasi nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah pendekatan pendidikan konstruktif secara psikologi dan spiritual; pendekatan yang dapat mengoptimalisasi kemandirian dalam diri anak yatim serta direlevansikan dengan Al-Qur’an. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa pertama; komponen Panti Asuhan al-Mubarok memaksimalkan potensi anak yatim melalui pendampingan psikologis dan spiritual. Kedua; komponen Panti Asuhan al-Mubarok memiliki tahapan-tahapan yang sistematis dalam upaya mengeksplore potensi anak yatim. Ketiga; proses pembelajaran di Panti Asuhan al-Mubarok dilakukan dengan teknik learning by doing. Keempat; optimalisasi kemandirian anak yatim dilakukan melalui pelibatan dalam aktivitas kewirausahaan. Kelima; anak yatim di Panti Asuhan al-Mubarok sering dilibatkan dalam berbagai event sosial dan keagamaan sehingga berdampak positivistik baik secara psikologis dan spiritual. Kesimpulan tersebut sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mengembangkan argumen pendekatan pendidikan konstruktivisme Jean Peaget, yang berasumsi bahwa seseorang dapat belajar secara mandiri dengan melihat orang-orang disekelilingnya.

Abstract

Stephen Hawking, a realist who adheres to positivism, asserts that the universe was created without God. This perspective considers nature to be only matter, an entity without a soul. On the other hand, one of the factors causing environmental damage is the anthropocentric paradigm that considers humans as the most important element in the universe. Ironically, this paradigm uses the holy book of the heavenly religions to legitimize its thinking, as found in Genesis 1:28 and the Qur'an in Surah al-Baqarah [2]: 29. In the interpretation of the Qur'an, to find a concept is not enough with just one verse, a series of steps need to be taken in order to produce a comprehensive interpretation. For this reason, the Maudu'i interpretation method is used to explore the concept of the Qur'an about the creation of the universe and its maintenance and how humans function in the universe. The authors found that: 1. With the Rububiyah dimension, Allah SWT is the Creator, Owner, Manager and Maintainer of nature. Humans are the khalifatullah/representatives of Allah SWT on earth who are allowed to use natural resources while maintaining their sustainability. 2. Ecotheology in the Qur'an can be understood in the sense: "The science that studies the interaction between creatures in their ecosystem based on the verses of takwn (universe/ecology) and tadwn (Qur'anic texts as the basis of theology)." Ecotheology is related to efforts to preserve the environment through balancing human rights and obligations towards nature and respect for the human rights of nature. This is because in the Qur'an, both humans and nature have their respective roles and purposes of creation as fellow creations of God. Humans as khalifah fi al-‘ard}/prosperers of the earth and nature are partners of humans in carrying out this mandate. Nature is the same as humans as fellow creations of God (ukhuwah makhluqiyyah) who also have the right to worship, develop and live in groups in their communities

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pandangan Al-Khatîb asy-Syirbînî mengenai kebebasan beragama dan sanksi terhadap murtad dalam tafsir as-Sirâj al-Munîr. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari tantangan kompleks yang dihadapi dalam menerapkan kebebasan beragama di negara-negara dengan sistem Islam, di mana sering terjadi ketegangan antara nilai-nilai agama dan hak asasi manusia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana pandangan Al-Khatîb asy-Syirbînî dapat berkontribusi terhadap wacana kebebasan beragama, serta meneliti keterkaitannya dengan konteks sosial di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka dengan metode deskriptif-analitis. Data utama yang dianalisis mencakup enam ayat Al-Qur'an yang relevan, ditelaah menggunakan pendekatan Maqâshid asy-Syarî’ah untuk menggali dimensi maslahat, kebebasan, dan keadilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Al-Khatîb asy-Syirbînî menekankan pentingnya kebebasan memilih keyakinan sebagai bagian dari kehendak ilahi, meskipun interpretasinya kurang mempertimbangkan aspek sosial-historis. Dalam konteks Indonesia, penerapan nilai-nilai kebebasan beragama sesuai Maqâshid asy-Syarî’ah dapat memperkuat harmoni sosial dan melindungi hak asasi manusia. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pemahaman yang lebih inklusif terhadap kebebasan beragama, seperti yang diusung oleh Al-Khatîb asy-Syirbînî, dapat menawarkan solusi untuk tantangan kontemporer dalam isu kebebasan beragama, serta memberikan landasan teologis yang relevan dengan dinamika masyarakat saat ini.

Abstract

This article explains the exploration of the potential of orphans through independent education to create communicative, collaborative, creative and constructive learning, which is based on the values of the Koran. The approach used in this paper is a psychological and spiritual constructive educational approach; an approach that can optimize independence in orphans and is relevant to the Al-Qur'an. The conclusion of this research explains that first; Al-Mubarok Orphanage components maximize the potential of orphans through psychological and spiritual assistance. Second; The al-Mubarok Orphanage component has systematic stages in an effort to explore the potential of orphans. Third; The learning process at al-Mubarok Orphanage is carried out using the learning by doing technique. Fourth; optimizing the independence of orphans is carried out through involvement in entrepreneurial activities. Fifth; Orphans at the al-Mubarok Orphanage are often involved in various social and religious events, giving them a positive impact both psychologically and spiritually. This conclusion is an attempt to develop the argument of Jean Peaget's constructivist educational approach, which assumes that a person can learn independently by looking at the people around him.

Abstract

Indonesia has witnessed a rise in radical ideologies that threaten unity, promote intolerance, and incite violence, as radicalism become more complex and adaptive. In response, the Ministry of Religious Affairs undertaken various counter-radicalization initiatives, notably through the Tafsir al-Quran Tematik publication. Among many themes addressed, the most notably ideas are jihad and statehood. This article explores the construction of counter-radical discourse by MoRA through this institutional tafsir, analyzing its function as a state instrument. Employing qualitative methods and Foucault’s power relations theory, the study integrates data from interviews with the tafsir’s authors, reader surveys, content analysis, and archival review. The findings reveal that Tafsir al-Quran Tematik defines jihad as a defensive act. It presents jihad as non-violent efforts like seeking knowledge and defending faith ethically. It emphasizes that jihad must follow moral guidelines rooted in the Prophet’s example. Additionally, the tafsir affirms that Islam does not mandate a specific government form, like caliphate, and supports the compatibility of the Indonesian state with Islamic principles. Drawing on Foucault’s theory, the state uses this tafsir to influence shaping religious discourse to legitimize national unity, promote moderate Islam, and delegitimize radical ideology. While promoting religious moderation, this state-endorsed tafsir centralizes interpretive authority under state auspices, potentially marginalizing individual Quranic interpreters. By positioning state-sponsored exegesis as the normative reference, the initiative risks undermining the pluralism and independence traditionally valued in Islamic scholarship. This study contributes to the discourse on state-religion dynamics, institutional authority, and the politics of religious interpretation in contemporary Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the compatibility of capitalism and Islam. Capitalism, which is identical with self-centeredness and greed, is often at odds with Islam. Have we employed some descriptive, interpretation, and philosophical approaches, this study concludes that capitalism and Islam are compatible. The Quran mentions several characteristics of capitalism, such as private ownership and profit maximization. Private ownership and capital accumulation are permitted in Islam, and the freedom to own property is a measure of productivity. Profit maximization, which is the core of capitalism, is also available in the Quran. Islam permits profit-taking within certain parameters. This situation demonstrates the compatibility of capitalism and Islam. However, it is necessary to incorporate Islamic norms to make capitalism more compatible with Islam.

Abstract

This research delves deeply into the analysis of the sanad network of K.H. Muhammad Arwani (1905-1994 AD) and his role in spreading of Qiraat Sab’ah in Indonesia. Utilizing historical methods and document analysis, this study elucidates the dissemination process of Qiraat Sab’ah knowledge propelled by the contributions of K.H. Muhammad Arwani and his sanad network. The research highlights interpersonal relationships, education, as well as social and cultural factors that facilitated the dissemination and acceptance of Qiraat Sab’ah knowledge among the Indonesian society at that time. The findings of this study provide profound insights into the intellectual legacy of K.H. Muhammad Arwani and how his sanad network played a pivotal role in enriching the tradition of Qiraat Sab’ah in Indonesia. The results of this research hold significant relevance in the context of Indonesia's scholarly history and make a significant contribution to our understanding of the role of scholars in supporting the dissemination of religious knowledge in society.
