Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatan populasi ayam broiler di Indonesia berdampak pada meningkatnya volume limbah feses yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Karya Mandiri Farm, peternakan broiler dengan sistem kandang bertingkat tanpa litter, menghadapi permasalahan penumpukan feses yang menimbulkan bau dan meningkatkan biaya operasional. Kegiatan ini bertujuan menerapkan teknologi biokonversi menggunakan larva Black Soldier Fly (BSF) (Hermetia illucens) sebagai solusi pengelolaan limbah feses ayam broiler berbasis ekonomi sirkular, sekaligus meningkatkan hard skill mitra dalam budidaya BSF dan pengelolaan limbah. Mitra kegiatan adalah Karya Mandiri Farm dengan 14 anggota aktif yang terlibat dalam sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan praktik penerapan teknologi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan budidaya BSF, proses panen, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi dan kuesioner. Indikator keberhasilan ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan pemahaman mitra sebesar 83,3%, reduksi limbah sebesar 40%, dan 75% mitra berminat melanjutkan budidaya BSF secara mandiri. Kegiatan ini mendukung pengelolaan limbah berkelanjutan, ekonomi sirkular, SDGs, dan Net Zero Emission nasional.Abstract: The increase in the broiler chicken population in Indonesia has led to an increase in the volume of fecal waste, which has the potential to pollute the environment if not managed properly. Karya Mandiri Farm, a broiler farm with a multi-tiered cage system without litter, faces the problem of fecal accumulation, which causes odors and increases operational costs. This activity aims to apply bioconversion technology using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae (Hermetia illucens) as a circular economy-based solution for broiler chicken fecal waste management, while also improving partners' hard skills in BSF cultivation and waste management. The activity partner is Karya Mandiri Farm with 14 active members involved in socialization, training, and practical application of the technology. The implementation methods include socialization, BSF cultivation training, harvesting processes, as well as monitoring and evaluation. Evaluation is conducted through observation and questionnaires. Success indicators are demonstrated by an 83.3% increase in partner understanding, a 40% reduction in waste, and 75% of partners expressing interest in continuing BSF cultivation independently. This activity supports sustainable waste management, the circular economy, SDGs, and national Net Zero Emission goals.
