Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di, Kecamatan Wates, Kabupaten Kediri, dilaksanakan untuk menjawab tantangan tingginya biaya pakan ikan (> 60% biaya produksi). Budidaya ikan nila dan gurame oleh Pokdakan “Mina Buana” kesulitan mempertahankan usaha akibat ketergantungan pada pakan pabrikan. Solusi yang Pokdakan pilih adalah implementasi teknologi tepat guna (TTG) budidaya Azolla pinnata sebagai pakan alternatif serta edukasi analisis finansial sederhana. Untuk itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk (1) Meningkatkan kemampuan pembudidaya ikan dalam menerapkan teknologi budidaya Azolla pinnata sebagai pakan alternatif, (2) Memperkuat keterampilan analisis finansial sederhana untuk menghitung efisiensi usaha budidaya, dan (3) Menumbuhkan kemandirian dan keberlanjutan usaha perikanan desa melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Pokdakan "Mina Buana" sebagai mitra kegiatan berjumlah 10 orang. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi survei kondisi mitra, pelatihan budidaya azolla, praktik penerapan langsung, edukasi finansial, serta evaluasi berbasis pre-test, post-test, dan analisis biaya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa substitusi 30% pakan pabrikan dengan pakan alami menurunkan biaya produksi dari Rp1.862.000 menjadi Rp1.502.900 tanpa mengurangi produktivitas ikan, sehingga keuntungan usaha meningkat dari kerugian Rp137.000 menjadi laba Rp222.100. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan pakan alternatif berbasis azolla mampu meningkatkan efisiensi finansial, mendorong kemandirian pembudidaya, serta membuka peluang keberlanjutan usaha perikanan desa. Kegiatan juga menghasilkan luaran berupa peningkatan keterampilan teknis, analisis finansial sederhana, serta distribusi sarana kolam dan bibit azolla bagi peserta.Abstract: Community service activities in Wates Subdistrict, Kediri Regency, were carried out to address the challenge of high fish feed costs (> 60% of production costs). Tilapia and gurame fish farming by the “Mina Buana” Pokdakan (Fish Farmers Group) had difficulty maintaining their business due to their dependence on factory-made feed. The solution chosen by the group was the implementation of appropriate technology (TTG) for cultivating Azolla pinnata as an alternative feed, as well as education on simple financial analysis. Therefore, this activity aims to (1) improve fish farmers' ability to apply Azolla pinnata cultivation technology as an alternative feed, (2) strengthen simple financial analysis skills to calculate the efficiency of cultivation businesses, and (3) foster independence and sustainability of village fisheries through the application of appropriate technology. There were 10 members of the “Mina Buana” Pokdakan (fisheries group) who participated in the activity. The methods applied included a survey of the partners' conditions, azolla cultivation training, direct application practice, financial education, and evaluation based on pre-tests, post-tests, and cost analysis. The results of the activity show that substituting 30% of manufactured feed with natural feed reduces production costs from IDR 1,862,000 to IDR 1,502,900 without reducing fish productivity, thereby increasing business profits from a loss of IDR 137,000 to a profit of IDR 222,100. These findings prove that the use of azolla-based alternative feed can improve financial efficiency, encourage farmer independence, and open up opportunities for sustainable village fisheries. The activity also resulted in improved technical skills, simple financial analysis, and the distribution of ponds and azolla seedlings to participants.
