Abstract

Mapping student talents is an important step in supporting the development of potential and early career planning. However, conventional approaches such as written tests and manual observations are often considered inefficient and less engaging for students. This community service activity introduces an innovation in the form of an interactive platform specifically designed to map student talents in a more dynamic and enjoyable way. The platform combines educational elements with digital interaction, where students engage in a series of activities such as adaptive quizzes, case study simulations, and interest-based challenges. The data obtained in real-time is then analyzed to generate student potential profiles based on interests, cognitive tendencies, and learning styles. The results of implementation by a lecturer from another university who has applied one of these interactive platforms show that using such a platform increases student participation and provides a more accurate depiction of student talents compared to traditional methods. This innovation is expected to become an effective digital solution for schools in conducting continuous, data-driven assessments of student potential.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has had a significant impact on various fields, including education. However, the use of AI among students is still not balanced with an adequate understanding of the basic concepts, productive use, and ethics of its use. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to improve AI literacy and digital ethics among students of SMK ANNUR Slawi, Tegal Regency. This activity targets 100 students consisting of boarding and non-boarding students with different characteristics of technology access. Based on the results of the situation analysis, it was found that more than 70% of students are only familiar with AI as popular applications without understanding the principles of how it works, the benefits, or the risks of its use. Furthermore, there is no structured program in schools that comprehensively discusses AI literacy. The method used in this activity is an interactive workshop that includes material delivery, hands-on practice, and discussion. The material provided covers an introduction to AI, the use of AI for learning and productivity, as well as education on the ethics of AI use, plagiarism, and data security. This activity also involves students as facilitators to support a more interactive learning process. The expected outcomes of this activity are improved student understanding of basic AI concepts, the ability to utilize AI wisely and productively, and an awareness of the importance of ethics in the use of digital technology. Therefore, this activity is expected to support student readiness to face the challenges of the digital era and improve the quality of human resources in vocational education.
