Abstract

Salinity has gave significant impact to stress levels that trigger of adjustment hemocyst with surroundings.The research aims to identify the Ideal maintenance of salinity on batik lobster (Panulirus longipes). It was conducted during at ninety days for maintanance period from September 2019 to Januari 2020 in Mata Shrimp Seeds Center, Kendari City. The Animals studied were batik lobsters (P. longipes) caught by nature with the male lobsters weighed 235±60 g and females were 237±50 g and total lobster under testing of 36 lobsters. The research had several test paremeters used to determine the effect of salinity such Osmotic Pressure (TKO), Total Hemocyte Count (THC) and histology of female gills. The statistical test Univariate Analysis of Variance and Duncan Test if (P<0.05) just used TKO parameters. The study discovered that TKO value of 833-1318 mOsmo/L with salinity exerting a strong influences (P<0.05). THC parameters of males showed a low stress response with a range of 3x106 - 14x106 cells/mL, it contrasts with the females had a high stress response with a range of 3x106 - 25x106cells/mL. The Conclusion was the male lobsters gave a low stress response with the ideal salinity of the cultivation, especially at 31⁰/ₒₒ and 34⁰/ₒₒ ware based on good response of maintenance TKO values and low stress levels on THC values

Abstract

Ikan cakalang merupakan ikan pelagis besar dari famili Scombridae, satu-satunya spesies dari genus Katsuwonus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pertumbuhan dan faktor kondisi ikan cakalang. Pengambilan sampel ikan dilakukan pada bulan November 2022 hingga Januari 2023 di Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI) Majene dengan frekuensi pengambilan sampel satu kali sebulan. Pengukuran panjang total ikan menggunakan penggaris berketelitian 1 mm dan penimbangan bobot ikan menggunakan timbangan digital berketelitian 0.01 g. Total ikan yang diperoleh selama penelitian yaitu 54 ekor terdiri atas 44 ekor ikan jantan dan 10 ekor ikan betina. Kisaran panjang total ikan yang ditemukan yaitu sebesar 21.6 – 44,3 cm, sedangkan kisaran bobot ikan yaitu sebesar 120.8 – 1.070 g. Berdasarkan hasil analisis hubungan panjang bobot diperoleh persamaan W = 0.00004 L3.20 pada ikan jantan, W = 0.00001 L3.41 pada ikan betina. Hasil nilai b yang diperoleh menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan ikan cakalang didaratkan di TPI Majene bersifat alometrik positif. Kisaran faktor kondisi ikan cakalang selama penelitian berkisar 1.0963 – 1.5120 dengan rata-rata sebesar 1.2575. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa ikan cakalang dalam kondisi baik.

Abstract

Perairan Kabupaten Majene memiliki potensi pesisir yang cukup beragam, salah satunya ialah budidaya rumput laut. Akan tetapi terbatasnya informasi terkait kualitas perairan di pesisir Kabupaten Majene sehingga inisiasi budidaya rumput laut sulit untuk dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji wilayah perairan yang sesuai untuk budidaya rumput laut di Kabupaten Majene, Sulawesi Barat khususnya jenis Kapppaphycus alvarezii. Analisis kesesuaian lahan dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian lahan budidaya laut secara spasial dengan menggunakan konsep evaluasi lahan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai September di daerah pesisir pantai Kabupaten Majene, Sulawesi Barat (Kecamatan Tapalang, Kecamatan Somba, dan Kecamatan Banggae Timur). Data yang diekstrak meliputi suhu, salinitas, kecepatan arus, kecerahan, kedalaman air, nitrat dan fosfat. Prosedur analisis data dengan metode Geographic Information System (GIS) melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu penyusunan peta parameter kualitas air, penggabungan (overlay) dengan peta penggunaan lahan, dan penilaian kesesuaian lahan. Hasil analisis kesesuaian perairan menunjukkan bahwa pada perairan Kecamatan Tapalang, Kecamatan Somba, dan Kecamatan Banggae Timur, Kabupaten Majene bulan Mei dan September masuk dalam kategori tidak sesuai sampai cukup sesuai.

Abstract

Freshwater lobster (Cherax quadricarinatus) is a fishery commodity with high economic value, and market demand continues to increase. However, one of the main challenges in cultivating freshwater lobsters is the low survival rate of fry, especially in the early stages of development. This research aims to optimize the dosage of a combination of amino acids and dissolved glucose to meet the nutritional needs of freshwater lobster fry and support their survival. This research was carried out at the Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries Greenhouse, Muhammadiyah University of Parepare, using freshwater lobster fry from captive breeding. The research method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatment doses of a combination of amino acids and dissolved glucose, namely: A) 100 ppm glucose + 250 ppm amino acids, B) 150 ppm glucose + 200 ppm amino acids, C) 200 ppm glucose + 150 ppm amino acids, and D) 250 ppm glucose + 100 ppm amino acids, each with three replications. The parameters explained are the chemical composition of the body, including protein, fat, fiber, and BETN content. A combination dose of 250 ppm glucose and 100 ppm amino acids is most effective in improving the nutritional quality of freshwater lobsters (Cherax quadricarinatus). The results of this study show the highest protein content (14.28%), fat content (0.89%), and fiber content (0.7%), all of which are important for the growth and health of lobsters. Meanwhile, the combined dose of 100 ppm glucose + 250 ppm amino acids yielded the best BETN (4.95%). Overall, the 250-ppm glucose and 100 ppm amino acid combination is optimal for improving the chemical composition of the lobster's body.
