Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the role-playing method in the teaching of Islamic Cultural History (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam or SKI), specifically on the topic of the Khulafaur Rasyidin, for tenth-grade students at MAS Al Washliyah Tanjung Beringin. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. The findings indicate that the role-playing method enhances student engagement, understanding, and appreciation of the values exemplified by the Khulafaur Rasyidin. Students became more active and enthusiastic during the learning process, as they were given the opportunity to portray historical figures such as Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali. This method not only helped improve their retention of historical facts but also internalized Islamic values such as leadership, justice, integrity, and courage. The study concludes that role-playing is an effective and innovative method for teaching SKI, especially in conveying moral and spiritual lessons through historical narratives.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the competence of teachers’ personalities as role models in improving students’ morals at MAS Insan Kesuma Madani Namorambe Deli Serdang. The research focuses on teachers’ personality competence, students’ moral behavior, and the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing teachers’ role modeling. This qualitative descriptive study collected data through interviews with two teachers, the principal, the vice principal, and five eleventh-grade students in May 2025. The findings reveal that teachers demonstrate good personality competence through consistent attitudes and effective communication, positively impacting students’ moral development. However, students’ morals vary; some exhibit good behavior while others show less optimal conduct. Supporting factors include a conducive school environment, ongoing teacher training, and collaboration with students’ families. Inhibiting factors consist of teachers’ heavy workloads, negative influences from social media and peer environments, and limited school facilities. The study recommends enhancing teacher support, strengthening school-family collaboration, and addressing external influences to optimize teachers’ roles as role models in shaping students’ character.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation, relevance, and supporting and inhibiting factors of Multiple Intelligences from the Qur’anic perspective in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA Swasta Nur Hasanah Medan. The research employed a qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Qur’anic-based Multiple Intelligences approach has been integrated into the PAI learning process, encouraging students to be active, communicative, and socially skilled. Its relevance is reflected in the improvement of learning quality, emphasizing not only mastery of the material but also the development of Islamic character. Supporting factors include teacher competence, school facilities, a religious environment, and student motivation, while inhibiting factors involve limited time, differences in student ability, and a lack of learning media. Recommendations include enhancing creative teaching strategies, optimizing facilities, and providing teacher training to address existing challenges.
