Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the level of dribbling skills among elementary school students participating in extracurricular futsal activities at Muhammadiyah Imam Syuhodo Elementary School. The research subjects consisted of 40 students who were actively involved in the school’s futsal extracurricular program. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed using a survey method, with data collected through standardized dribbling skill tests and direct movement observations. The assessment focused on three main movement components: the initial stance, ball contact movement, and the final stance. The results of the study showed that the overall dribbling skill level of students was categorized as moderate, with variations across the assessed components. The initial stance component demonstrated relatively better performance, as most students were able to adopt a basic ready position before dribbling. However, weaknesses were identified in the ball contact movement, particularly in controlling the ball while moving at speed. The lowest performance was found in the final stance component, where many students had difficulty maintaining balance and proper body posture after completing the dribble. The implications of this study emphasize the need for more structured, systematic, and repetitive training programs to enhance fundamental futsal skills among elementary school students. It is recommended that coaches and physical education teachers prioritize basic dribbling techniques through varied and enjoyable training methods, while also improving supporting sports facilities at the school. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing more effective futsal training programs in elementary school physical education contexts.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of moderate Islam in Indonesia faces challenges due to increasing polarization in religious understanding, both in the form of radicalism and extreme liberalism. In this context, Muhammadiyah, as one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia, plays an important role in promoting moderate, progressive, and adaptive religious practices. However, studies specifically analyzing Muhammadiyah’s contribution to the dynamics of moderate Islam through various strategic sectors remain limited. Therefore, this study is important to better understand Muhammadiyah’s contribution in strengthening moderate Islam in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the role of Muhammadiyah in developing moderate Islam. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a library research method. Data sources were obtained from scientific journals, books, and other references relevant to Muhammadiyah’s role in the development of moderate Islam. The analysis was conducted through a descriptive-critical review of selected literature. The findings reveal that Muhammadiyah’s religious moderation is manifested through four main pillars: progressive education integrating Islamic values with science and technology, dialogical and peaceful da’wah emphasizing tolerance, inclusivity, and interfaith dialogue, health and social empowerment as the implementation of Al-Ma’un Theology through services for vulnerable groups, and rational fatwas through collective ijtihad by the Tarjih and Tajdid Council, which respond to contemporary developments. These findings indicate that Muhammadiyah has successfully translated moderate Islamic values into practical actions contributing to social progress, tolerance, and public welfare. Thus, Muhammadiyah holds a strategic role in sustaining moderate Islam in Indonesia. ABSTRAK Perkembangan Islam moderat di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan berupa meningkatnya polarisasi pemahaman keagamaan, baik dalam bentuk radikalisme maupun liberalisme ekstrem. Di tengah kondisi tersebut, Muhammadiyah sebagai salah satu organisasi Islam terbesar di Indonesia memiliki peran penting dalam membangun praktik keberagamaan yang moderat, progresif, dan adaptif terhadap perubahan zaman. Namun, kajian yang secara khusus menganalisis kontribusi Muhammadiyah dalam dinamika perkembangan Islam moderat melalui berbagai bidang strategis masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini penting dilakukan untuk memahami bentuk kontribusi Muhammadiyah dalam memperkuat moderasi Islam di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Muhammadiyah dalam mengembangkan Islam moderat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Sumber data diperoleh dari artikel ilmiah, jurnal, buku, dan referensi lain yang relevan dengan pembahasan peran Muhammadiyah dalam pengembangan Islam moderat. Analisis dilakukan melalui pengkajian literatur secara deskriptif-kritis terhadap berbagai sumber yang dipilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa moderasi beragama Muhammadiyah diwujudkan melalui empat pilar utama, yaitu: pendidikan berkemajuan yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dengan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, dakwah dialogis dan damai yang menekankan toleransi, inklusivitas, serta dialog antaragama, pemberdayaan kesehatan dan sosial sebagai implementasi Teologi Al-Ma’un melalui pelayanan kepada kelompok rentan, serta fatwa rasional melalui ijtihad kolektif Majelis Tarjih dan Tajdid yang responsif terhadap perkembangan zaman. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Muhammadiyah berhasil menerjemahkan nilai Islam moderat ke dalam praktik nyata yang berkontribusi terhadap kemajuan masyarakat, penguatan toleransi, dan kesejahteraan sosial. Dengan demikian, Muhammadiyah memiliki peran strategis dalam menjaga keberlanjutan Islam moderat di Indonesia.
