Abstract

This study aims to analyze parents' acceptance of autistic children at SKH 1 School in Serang City. Using a qualitative approach, data was obtained through interviews and observations of parents of autistic children. The results showed that parents' acceptance is influenced by various factors, such as education level, social support, and stigma in the community. Some parents experienced initial difficulties in accepting their child's condition, which impacted on their involvement in supporting their child's development at school and home. However, with education, training and mentoring by the school, parental acceptance can gradually increase. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of families and schools in creating an environment that supports autistic children to develop optimally.

Abstract

This article discusses the phenomenon of "fatherlessness" which refers to the absence of a father's role in child care, both physically and psychologically, caused by various factors such as divorce, work, or death. This study aims to explore the impact of the absence of a father figure on the development of girls, especially in the social and emotional context. The method used is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that girls who grow up without a father experience various challenges, including difficulties in building self-esteem, emotional instability, and a tendency to self-harm. Despite the negative impacts, some children show a willingness to develop academic abilities and talents. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of fathers in supporting child development and the need for support from those closest to them to help "fatherless" girls overcome their struggles
