Abstract

The growth of microcars as an urban mobility solution demands an efficient yet strong and safe structural design. This study aims to analyze the structural performance of microcar chassis using a Finite Element Method (FEM)-based numerical simulation approach with ANSYS Workbench software. Evaluation was conducted on five types of materials-Aluminum 6061-T6, Aluminum 6082, Steel AISI 1018, Steel S355JR, and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) Prepreg through static and dynamic analysis. Simulation results show that all materials have safety factor values above 1, with CFRP prepreg recording the highest value. Aluminum is considered the most optimal material for mass production because it is lightweight, strong enough, and economical. In the dynamic analysis, the entire structure showed a safe response to random vibration loads due to road surface irregularities, although there was potential for resonance at certain frequencies. Therefore, fatigue analysis is recommended for long-term evaluation. This study makes an important contribution to the design of lightweight, safe and sustainable microcar chassis.

Abstract

The cooling tower is a crucial component in industrial cooling systems, serving to dissipate heat from the working fluid. One of the main structural elements in a cooling tower is the bolt, which connects various components and plays a role in bearing mechanical loads. This study aims to perform numerical modeling and simulation of bolts within the cooling tower structure to understand the stress and deformation distribution under operational loads. The simulation was conducted using the finite element method based on ANSYS software, applying a pretension force of 200 Nm and a thermal load of 40 °C. The results show a maximum stress of 0.327 MPa at the contact area between the bolt head and the connecting plate, with a total deformation of 5.08×10⁻⁵ mm. The observed stress concentration indicates a potential risk of fatigue failure at the joint. This study provides valuable insights into the optimization of bolt design and material selection to enhance the cooling tower's resistance to operational loads.

Abstract

Swiss-Belhotel Makassar as a five-star hotel requires a reliable electrical installation system to support operations and customer comfort. Electrical system evaluation is important to ensure that system performance remains optimal, safe, and meets standards. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the existing condition of the electrical installation at Swiss-Belhotel Makassar using the Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) software. The methods used include primary and secondary data collection, single line diagram system modeling, and short circuit current simulation and load analysis. The evaluation results show that there are several system components that are approaching their maximum capacity limits, as well as load imbalances between phases that need to be corrected to avoid potential disruptions and low energy efficiency. By using ETAP simulation, technical recommendations are prepared such as protection adjustments, load balancing, and system configuration improvements. This evaluation provides an important overview in efforts to improve the reliability and safety of the hotel's electrical system as a whole.

Abstract

Studi ini menata ulang sistem perencanaan kelistrikan gedung Pusat Data MMR 4 Deltamas Cikarang, dengan fokus pada keselamatan dan kenyamanan operasional sesuai SNI, PUIL, dan peraturan kelistrikan. Penelitian diawali dengan wawancara dengan konsultan perencana untuk mendapatkan dimensi bangunan (panjang, lebar, tinggi) serta kebutuhan daya server dan sistem pendingin, dilanjutkan dengan penyesuaian desain instalasi pencahayaan dan kelistrikan. Peralatan pencahayaan terdiri dari berbagai jenis lampu downlight (5 W, 6 W, 10 W, 12 W, 18 W, 20 W) dan lampu TL (2x18 W dan 1x18 W), serta 7 titik stopkontak. Sistem pendingin meliputi unit AC ½ HP, ¾ HP, dan 2 HP. Perangkat daya besar meliputi PAC 5,5 kW, UPS 30 kVA, ATS 150 A, dan COS bermotor. Kabel yang digunakan adalah NYY (1,5–10 mm²), NYA (1,5–2,5 mm²), dan NYGBY (50 mm²); proteksi disediakan oleh MCB (2–10 A) dan MCCB (16–125 A). Total kebutuhan daya mencapai sekitar 72,1 kW. Sumber daya utama adalah PLN 82,5 kVA (dua saluran), dengan dua generator cadangan masing-masing 100 kVA yang siap menggantikan jika terjadi pemadaman listrik. Kata kunci: Pusat Data, Sistem Tenaga, UPS, peralatan listrik.
