Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of professionalism and discipline on performance mediated by motivation. A quantitative approach with a hypothesis testing technique was used in this study. There were 90 samples with a random sampling technique, namely the teachers of the State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Bayang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra. Data were collected through online questionnaire distribution and processed using SmartPLS 3.0 software with structural equation modelling techniques. The results showed that professionalism and discipline each had a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Professionalism, discipline, and motivation each have a positive and significant effect on performance. Motivation significantly mediates the relationship between professionalism and performance and the relationship between discipline and performance. The implications of the study emphasise the importance of maintaining the commitment and morale of teachers in educational institutions to provide the best teaching to students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work environment, organisational culture, and work discipline on performance mediated by organisational commitment. A quantitative approach with hypothesis testing techniques was used in this study. There were 77 samples with the saturated sample technique, namely, all employees at the Youth and Sports Office of West Sumatra Province. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires online and processed using SmartPLS 3.0 software with structural equation modelling techniques. The results showed that work environment, organisational culture, and work discipline each had a positive and significant effect on organisational commitment. Work discipline and organisational commitment each have a positive and significant effect on performance, but an insignificant effect was found by the work environment and organisational culture. The effect of organisational culture and work discipline on performance through the mediation of organisational commitment was found to be positive and significant, but insignificant mediation by organisational commitment on the relationship between work environment and performance was found. The implications of the research emphasise the importance of maintaining the commitment and loyalty of employees in government agencies in order to provide the best empowerment to the community.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of workload, social support, and rewards on burnout mediated by work-life balance. A quantitative approach with hypothesis testing techniques was used in this study. There were 95 samples with a judgmental sampling technique and using the Slovin formula, which represented Bank Nagari employees in West Sumatra Province. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires online and processed using SmartPLS 4.0 software with structural equation modelling techniques. The results showed that workload, social support, and rewards each had a significant effect on work-life balance. Workload, social support, rewards, and work-life balance each have a significant effect on burnout. The effect of workload, social support, and rewards on burnout through the mediation of work-life balance was found to be significant. The implications of the study emphasise the importance of maintaining employee welfare by paying attention to physical and emotional conditions in banking institutions in order to provide the best service for customers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work motivation and organisational culture on performance mediated by organisational citizenship behaviour. A quantitative approach with hypothesis testing techniques was used in this study. There were 94 samples with the saturated sample technique, namely all employees at the Padang City Education and Culture Office, West Sumatra Province. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires online and processed using SmartPLS 3.0 software with structural equation modelling techniques. The results indicated that work motivation and organisational culture each had a positive and significant effect on organisational citizenship behaviour. Work motivation and organisational citizenship behaviour each have a positive and significant effect on performance, but are not significantly affected by organisational culture. Organisational citizenship behaviour can mediate the relationship between work motivation with performance, and organisational culture with performance. The research implications emphasise the importance of increasing the sense of belonging, strong bonding, and high dedication in the agency environment in order to produce employee loyalty and good work quality.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of leadership style, organisational culture, and work-life balance on work productivity mediated by job satisfaction. A quantitative approach with hypothesis testing techniques was used in this study. There were 70 samples with the saturated sample technique, namely, all employees of the Chief Administration Bureau at the West Sumatra Governor's Office. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires online and processed using SmartPLS 3.0 software with structural equation modelling techniques. The results showed that organisational culture and work-life balance each had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, but not significantly by leadership style. Leadership style and job satisfaction each have a positive and significant effect on work productivity, but are not significantly affected by organisational culture and work balance. The effect of organisational culture and work balance, respectively, on work productivity through mediation of job satisfaction was found to be positive and significant, but insignificant mediation by job satisfaction was found on the relationship between leadership style and work productivity. The implications of the study emphasise the importance of meeting the needs and comfort of employees in government agencies in order to provide good quality work.
