Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the efforts of PPKn teachers in instilling Civic skills in Good Citizenship through PPKn learning to grade VIII students at SMP Negeri Satu Atap Batu Rintang, the research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 22 people, 1 PPKn teacher and 21 grade VIII students. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that: 1) the efforts of PPKn teachers in instilling civic skills in good citizenship to students are quite good, this is indicated by the efforts of teachers carried out in class, namely using varied learning methods. Involving students in completing individual and group assignments. Randomly selecting students to answer questions, 2) obstacles faced by PPKn teachers in instilling civic skills in good citizenship are, students who often come in and out of class so that they disrupt the teacher's concentration when explaining the material, students who only make other movements that disturb the concentration of other students, the lack of students' ability to obtain information about their assignments, the lack of a sense of responsibility in students to complete their assignments. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui upaya guru PPKn dalam menanamkan Civic skill Dalam Good Citizenship melalui pembelajaran PPKn terhadap siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri Satu Atap Batu Rintang, Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 22 orang, 1 orang guru PPKn dan 21 siswa kelas VIII. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, angket. Analisis data yang digunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) upaya guru PPKn dalam menanamkan civic skill dalam good citizenship terhadap siswa sudah cukup baik, hal tersebut ditandai dari upaya guru dilakukan di kelas yaitu menggunakan metode belajar bervariasi. Melibatkan siswa menyelesaikan tugas individu maupun kelompok. Memilih secara acak siswa untuk menjawab pertanyaan; 2) kendala yang dihadapi guru PPKn dalam menanamkan civic skill dalam good citizenship yaitu, siswa yang sering keluar masuk kelas sehingga mengganggu konsentrasi guru saat memaparkan materi, siswa yang hanya membuat gerakan lain yang menggangu konsentrasi siswa lainnya, masih kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam memperoleh informasi mengenai tugasnya, kurangnya rasa tanggung jawab pada diri siswa untuk menyelesaikan tugasnya.
