Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causes, forms, and strategies for addressing student violence against teachers from a character education perspective. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies of teachers, school staff, and students involved in cases of violence. The results of the study indicate that the main factors influencing the occurrence of violence include family dysfunction, negative social environments, lack of religious guidance, and weak moral literacy in schools. The forms of violence found include physical and verbal violence rooted in a loss of respect and empathy for teachers. The implementation of comprehensive, integrative, and sustainable character education is key to preventing similar cases. The recommended strategies include strengthening religious values, applying positive discipline, instilling moral habits, and active collaboration between schools, parents, and the community. This study emphasizes that the revitalization of contextual character education based on human values is necessary to restore the function of schools as places for the formation of noble character and respect for teachers. The findings show that student violence against teachers is influenced by family dysfunction, negative peer environments, and weak character education. The forms of violence identified include verbal and physical aggression. The study also found that effective prevention can be achieved through strengthening religious values, implementing positive discipline, and enhancing cooperation between schools and parents.

Abstract

Maqashid Syari'ah, as the ultimate goals of Islamic law, provides a conceptual framework to achieve human welfare by safeguarding religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. This article examines the implementation of maqashid syari'ah principles in public policies in Indonesia, a country with the world's largest Muslim population. Using a qualitative approach through policy analysis and secondary data, the study explores the extent to which government policies reflect Islamic values. The findings reveal that various public policies in Indonesia, such as in education, healthcare, and economic sectors, adopt maqashid syari'ah principles, although challenges remain in ensuring their sustainability and effectiveness. This article offers valuable insights for policymakers and scholars in integrating Islamic values into modern public governance. Abstrak Maqashid Syari'ah, sebagai tujuan utama dari hukum Islam, memberikan kerangka kerja konseptual untuk mencapai kemaslahatan manusia melalui perlindungan terhadap agama, jiwa, akal, keturunan, dan harta. Artikel ini menganalisis implementasi prinsip-prinsip maqashid syari'ah dalam kebijakan publik di Indonesia, sebuah negara dengan populasi Muslim terbesar di dunia. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui analisis kebijakan dan data sekunder untuk mengeksplorasi sejauh mana kebijakan pemerintah mencerminkan nilai-nilai Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai kebijakan publik di Indonesia, seperti di bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, dan ekonomi, mengadopsi prinsip maqashid syari'ah, meskipun masih terdapat tantangan dalam memastikan kesinambungan dan efektivitasnya. Artikel ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi pembuat kebijakan dan akademisi dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam ke dalam tata kelola publik modern.
