Abstract

This research aims to examine the factors influencing human behavior through a literature study approach by analyzing relevant recent scientific literature. The method used is a qualitative review that involves collecting and analyzing journals focused on the interaction of internal factors—including biological, psychological, and cognitive aspects—with external factors such as social environment, culture, technology, and architectural design. The study findings reveal that human behavior is a complex result of dynamic interactions between innate factors and experiences shaped by social environment and physical conditions. Internal and external factors influence each other in forming adaptive behavior patterns according to diverse cultural and environmental contexts. These findings underscore the importance of a multidimensional approach in understanding human behavior, integrating personal and contextual aspects. The recommendation is to implement inclusive, culturally adaptive, and context-responsive policies and human resource development programs to support positive and sustainable behavioral change.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication often fails not merely because of message ambiguity, but because of psychological barriers within communicators. This study aims to examine interpersonal communication as a systemic psychological process involving four interdependent elements: interpersonal perception, self-concept, interpersonal attraction, and relationship quality. Using a qualitative literature review, the study applies content analysis and theoretical synthesis to selected scholarly works published between 2020 and 2025. The findings show that interpersonal communication operates cyclically: perception shapes self-concept, self-concept influences attraction, attraction determines interaction intensity, and these processes affect relationship quality. Disruption in one element, such as biased perception or negative self-concept, can weaken the entire relational system. This study contributes a holistic conceptual framework that explains interpersonal communication beyond message clarity by emphasizing the role of psychological integration in building effective, supportive, and adaptive interpersonal relationships.

Abstract

Through social media and online platforms that reach a wide audience, the development of information technology in the digital era has significantly changed the pattern of mass communication. Every message in the media does not stop at conveying information but can also have an impact on the audience. This impact is known as the mass communication effect, which has become a major focus in communication studies. How audiences think, act, and behave is largely influenced by the media. This study aims to discuss the effects of mass communication on changes in attitudes and behavior, focusing on three main domains of human psychology: cognitive, affective, and conative. This research use descriptive qualitative approach and content analysis to emphasize the effects of mass communication on the psychological realm. The results of this study demonstrate that digital media has the ability to construct knowledge, influence feelings, and drive audience action quickly and dynamically. This research confirms that the role of social media as a strategic space requires critical study, especially on the effects of mass communication on understanding the relationship between media dynamics, society, and the process of forming an opinion that has an impact on changes in people's attitudes and behavior.
