Abstract

This study aimed to determine the physical condition profile of Proton FC futsal players. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method with an observational descriptive design using survey techniques, tests, and measurements to describe the athletes’ physical components. The population consisted of 21 Proton FC futsal players, and total sampling was applied, meaning all players were included as research participants. The instruments used included flexibility (sit and reach), speed (20-meter sprint and agility pro), lower-body strength (hop and board jump), lower-body muscular endurance (hurdle jump), and cardiovascular endurance (Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level 2). Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics to determine the mean values and physical condition categories of the players. The results indicated that overall physical condition was categorized from moderate to very good. Agility and lower-body explosive power were in good to very good categories, while speed and cardiovascular endurance were in the moderate category.

Abstract

AbstrakCedera merupakan hal yang tidak dapat diprediksi kapan akan terjadi dalam kegiatan olahraga sepak bola, mulai dari masa persiapan hingga masa pertandingan atau liga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis cedera yang dialami oleh pemain Persebata pada masa persiapan liga sampai kompetisi yang berlangsung dari pertengahan September 2025 hingga awal Februari 2026. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif studi kasus. Sampel untuk penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang, yang merupakan seluruh pemain Persebata di Liga 3 Nusantara. Data diambil dari proses pendataan pribadi selama masa persiapan sampai masa pertandingan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa jenis cedera yang dialami pemain, mulai dari cedera pergelangan kaki, cedera pergelangan tangan, benturan pinggang, benturan tulang kering, benturan di dada, benturan di punggung kaki, cedera telapak kaki, cedera selangkangan, cedera meniskus, cedera paha depan, hingga cedera paha belakang. Sebagian besar cedera terjadi pada tubuh bagian bawah atau tungkai. Cedera-cedera ini muncul karena berbagai macam kondisi, seperti lapangan yang keras, benturan antar pemain, maupun kesalahan tumpuan saat berlari atau melompat. Upaya pemulihan yang dapat dilakukan terhadap cedera-cedera tersebut yaitu dengan menerapkan metode RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation), melakukan ice bath, menjalani fisioterapi, dan mendapatkan pijat (massage). Dengan demikian, penanganan cedera yang cepat dan tepat sangat diperlukan untuk mempercepat pemulihan pemain ABSTRACT Injuries are unpredictable events that can occur at any time in the sport of football, from the preparation period to the match or league period. This study aims to analyze the injuries experienced by Persebata players during the league preparation period up to the competition, which took place from mid-September 2025 to early February 2026. The research method used is a case study - qualitative. The sample for this study consisted of 30 individuals, representing all Persebata players in Liga 3 Nusantara. Data were collected through personal documentation processes during the preparation period through the match period. The results showed that there were several types of injuries experienced by the players, including ankle sprains, wrist injuries, hip contusions, shin contusions, chest contusions, instep contusions, foot sole injuries, groin injuries, meniscus injuries, quadriceps injuries, and hamstring injuries. Most injuries occurred in the lower body or limbs. These injuries arose due to various conditions, such as hard playing fields, collisions between players, and improper footing while running or jumping. Recovery efforts that can be undertaken for these injuries include applying the RICE method (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation), taking ice baths, undergoing physiotherapy, and receiving massage. Therefore, quick and appropriate injury management is essential to accelerate player recovery.

Abstract

The evaluation of physical fitness is a core element of sport science, clinical exercise physiology and population health surveillance but a comprehensive bibliometric synthesis of the recent global trend is missing. The present study aims to describe the productivity, intellectual structure, and thematic evolution of the research on fitness tests published between 2015 and 2026. A total of 5,766 peer-reviewed articles indexed in the Scopus database (Elsevier) were retrieved with the search string TITLE-ABS-KEY ("fitness test" OR "physical fitness test" OR "exercise test"). The articles were analysed through performance analysis and science mapping with Bibliometrix R-package (Biblioshiny), VOSviewer 1.6.20, and Microsoft Excel, following the protocol of (Aria & Cuccurullo, 2017; Donthu et al., 2021). The dataset included 92,894 citations (mean = 16.11; median = 7.00) from 1,134 source journals. The annual scientific production increased from 380 documents in 2015 to a maximum of 691 documents in 2024, with a 3-year moving average that indicates a sustained acceleration after 2020. The top contributing countries were: United States (n = 1,168), United Kingdom (n = 782), and Brazil (n = 580). Lotka’s law was confirmed (n ≈ 3.24), with a very skewed distribution of productivity; Bradford’s law identified 15 core journals, accounting for 34.1% of all output. Co-occurrence analysis of author keywords resulted in five thematic clusters: General Exercise & Fitness, Cardiorespiratory & Performance, Athletic Performance & Training, Health Aging & Body, and Methodological. Thematic evolution over three sub-periods (2015–2018, 2019–2022, 2023–2026) demonstrated a clear migration of the field from cardiorespiratory and laboratory-based assessment to wearable sensors, machine-learning-enabled monitoring and CRF risk stratification. These findings offer an empirical guide for researchers, clinicians, educators, and policymakers interested in advancing valid, scalable, and technology-integrated fitness assessment.
