Abstract

Abstrak: Pendekatan deep learning dalam pembelajaran geografi menekankan keterlibatan aktif siswa serta pengembangan berpikir kritis dan reflektif. Namun, pada tahap awal penerapannya, persepsi siswa terhadap pendekatan ini belum diketahui secara jelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan deep learning dalam pembelajaran geografi di SMA Maarif Lawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain survei. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 30 siswa kelas XI yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert empat tingkat melalui Google Form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sebagian besar siswa memiliki persepsi sangat baik terhadap penerapan deep learning. Berdasarkan aspek penilaian, aspek afektif menunjukkan hasil tertinggi dalam persepsi, diikuti aspek konatif, sedangkan aspek kognitif menunjukkan persentase terendah. Secara keseluruhan, pendekatan deep learning dinilai memberikan manfaat terhadap pengalaman belajar siswa, meskipun belum sepenuhnya optimal dalam meningkatkan pemahaman kognitif secara merata. Abstract:  The deep learning approach in geography learning emphasizes active student involvement and the development of critical and reflective thinking. However, in the early stages of its implementation, students' perceptions of this approach are not yet clearly known. This study aims to determine how students perceive the application of deep learning in geography learning at Maarif Lawang High School. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with a survey design. The research sample consisted of 30 eleventh-grade students selected using total sampling technique. Data were collected using a four-point Likert scale questionnaire via Google Form. The results showed that most students had a very good perception of the application of deep learning. Based on the assessment aspects, the affective aspect showed the highest results in perception, followed by the conative aspect, while the cognitive aspect showed the lowest percentage. Overall, the deep learning approach is considered to provide benefits to students' learning experiences, although it is not yet fully optimal in improving cognitive understanding evenly.
