Abstract

This research can provide the answer that the potential of the local area is quite potential and needs to be utilized wisely for the welfare of the community. The purpose of this research is to know the potential of medicinal plant cultivation land and to obtain data base on the suitability of medicinal plant cultivation area with application of Geographical Information System (GIS) as a medicinal plant area in Sambore Tribe Area. In this research using survey method with MLA (Multidiciplinaire Landscape Assessment) approach is a method to determine "what resources are most important to society. The research instruments that we present are tools used in research processes such as GPS, benchmarking, thermometer, geological compass, stpowatch, sechi disk, salinometer, and GIS data analysis software and supported by data collection methods that are observation, documentation and experimental methods so this research can be done well

Abstract

Abstract: Problem based learning is a learning model that focuses on students and is contextual in nature. Students are directly involved in finding a solution to a problem, so that the model is able to improve high-level thinking skills.. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of the problem based learning model on high-level thinking skills of high school students. The research design applied was quasi experiment (quasy ekperiment. The subjects in this study consisted of two classes namely class XI MIPA 4 as ekpeimmen class and XI Language as control class. The study was conducted at MAN Kota Batu in 2019. The data analysis used is the independent sample t-test which shows the effect that is proven by the significance of <0.05 that is 0,000 so that the two variables are declared influential.Abstrak: Problem based learning (pembelajaran berbasis masalah) merupakan model pembelajaran yang berfokus kepada siswa dan sifatnya kontekstual. Siswa terlibat langsung untuk mencari jalan keluar suatu masalah, sehingga model tersebut mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Tujuan dari pengkajian ini yaitu untuk melihat pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SMA. Rancangan penelitian yang diterapkan adalah ekperimen semu (quasy ekperiment. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas XI MIPA 4 sebagai kelas ekpeimmen dan XI Bahasa sebagi kelas kontrol. Penelitian dilakukan di MAN Kota Batu pada tahun 2019. Analisis data yang dipergunakan adalah uji independent sample t-test yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang dibuktikan dengan signifikansi < 0,05 yaitu 0,000 sehingga dari kedua variabel dinyatakan berpengaruh.

Abstract

Abstract: East Java is one of the region which have a potentialnatural disaster. There are fourpotentialdisastersoccurredinthe region, namelyfloods, landslides, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes. The disasterproved tohave a negative impacton people's lives. The impact ofthe disasteris due toa lack ofanticipationforcommunities to disastersthatoccurin thereenvironment. To preventlong-term impact, environmental Education(EE) has astrategic roletoempowerstudents tohaveanticipatoryculture. This study is a preliminary research which aims to identify thecharacteristics of thedisaster which occurredinEast Java and conditions of disaster education at school. Object of the study is floods of the Konto river and landslides at Pujon district and the Kelud eruption at Pandansari Ngantang. This research uses descriptive analysis by reducing data, looking for determinant variables, and takes a conclusion. The research results show the natural disaster in research consists of flooding, landslide, and eruption. Floods and landslides occur on rainy season around December-January. Catastrophic floods caused by heavy rainfall and deforestation. While, the eruption depends on each mountain. The cause of disaster is material of eruption. Status of environment education at school is diverse, there is a region by mandatory local content-based with monolithic approach, and there is also region by elective with integrative approach. Load of the EE subjects is 2 credits, while the school is not compulsory be integrated to the main subject. In this study also be foud tha teachers do not have a EE model for anticipate natural disaster.Keywords: disaster characteristic, Environment education, Cultureanticipatory

Abstract

Abstract: Currently, geography learning has not been able to develop students critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills can be achieved through the learning used. This study aims to determine the effect of the schoological Discovery Learning model on critical thinking skills in terms of students' spatial visual intelligence. This is because intelligence is related to one's spatial perception. The design used was a quasi experimental with pretest and posttest research. Hypothesis testing uses two way annova analysis. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IIS SMA Al-Izzah Batu. The results showed that the schoological discovery learning model and spatial visual intelligence had an effect on critical thinking skills.Keywords: discovery learning, schoology, critical thinking skills, visual-spatial intelligence, geography learningAbstrak: Pembelajaran geografi saat ini belum mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Abstract

Abstract: Spasial Based Learning Model has provided an alternative to Geography learning. SBL model can teach and improve critical thinking skill. This research was aimed to increase the ability to think critically through SBL model. The study design used a quasi-experiment with the design of pretest-posttest, nonequivalent control group design. The participants are students of Senior High School XI S.1 and XI S.2 of SMA Negri 1 Atambua. The results of the independent sample t-test supported by SPSS 16.00 for windows show that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 smaller than 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis it was concluded that there was a significant effect of the SBL model on students' critical thinking abilities. It means that an increase in critical thinking skill is a consequence of learning through the SBL model.Abstrak: Model Spasial Based Learning telah memberikan alternatif pada pembelajaran geografi. Model SBL dapat membelajarkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir secara kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model SBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group desing. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI S.1 dan XI S.2 SMA Negeri 1 Atambua. Hasil uji independent sample t-test dengan bantua SPSS 16.00 for windows menunjukan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan model SBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini berarti peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan konsekuensi pembelajaran melalui model SBL.

Abstract

Abstract: The development of spatial-based geography learning resources in the form of animated videos and AStone (Augmented Reality Stone) using the Lee & Owens method. The geography learning resources development is customized to the material and student needs. The results of the development were validated on material experts with 98.5% results and media experts with 100% results. The feasibility of learning resources was tested in small groups with 92% results and large groups with 97% results for students in XI IPS 1 in SMAN 1 Cluring and 98% for geography teachers. Based on the results of questionnaires and questions, geography learning resources in animated videos and AStone (Augmented Reality Stone) are practicable to be applied to lithospheric dynamics material and improve students’ higher-order thinking skills.Abstrak: Pengembangan sumber belajar geografi berbasis spasial berupa video animasi dan AStone (Augmented Reality Stone) dengan menggunakan metode Lee & Owens. Pengembangan sumber belajar geografi disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan materi dan siswa. Hasil pengembangan diuji validasikan pada ahli materi dengan hasil 98,5% dan ahli media dengan hasil 100%. Kelayakan sumber belajar diujicobakan pada kelompok kecil dengan hasil 92% dan kelompok besar dengan hasil 97% siswa kelas XI IPS 1 dan 98% guru geografi. Berdasarkan hasil angket dan soal, sumber belajar geografi berupa video animasi dan AStone (Augmented Reality Stone) sangat layak diterapkan pada materi dinamika litosfer dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve the students’ achievement using guided inqury learning model-assisted visual aids. The design of this research is classroom action research (CAR) that carried out to be two cycyles. The steps of this reaserch are planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects are 31 students of XI IS-1 grade of  SMA Negeri 5 Barabai. The collected data are qualitative data from observers who observing the teachers’ and students’ activities and also the qualitative data took from the result of formative test at the end of each cycle. The data anlysis using descriptive qulitative-quantitaive analysis. The result of the research from cycle 1 to 2 shows that the use of guided inquiry learning-assissted visual aids can improve the students’ achievement of flora and fauna in Indonesia and the world materials. The teacher’s activities improve from 69,44% of cycle 1 become 94,44% of cycle 2. The students’ activities improve from 66,67% of cycle 1 become 91,67% of cycle 2. The students’ achievments also improve from 54,84% on the cycle 1 to 87,09% on the cycle 2. Therefore, the guided inquiry learning-assisted visual aids is able to inprove the students’ achievemnt of XI IS-1 of  SMA Negeri 5 Barabai.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan media visual. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Tahapan dari penelitian ini pada tiap siklusnya yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah 31 peserta didik kelas XI IS1 SMA Negeri 5 Barabai. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data kualitatif yaitu data yang diambil dari observer yang mengamati aktivitas guru dan peserta didik dan juga data kuantitatif yang diambil dari hasil tes setiap akhir siklus. Data dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif-kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dari siklus I ke siklus II menunjukkan penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan media visual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi flora dan fauna di Indonesia dan dunia. Aktivitas guru meningkat dari 69,44% di siklus I menjadi 94,44% pada siklus II. Aktivitas peserta didik meningkat dari 66,67% pada siklus I menjadi 91,67% pada siklus II. Hasil belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dari 54,84% pada siklus I menjadi 87,09% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan media visual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IS-1 SMA Negeri 5 Barabai.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on geography skills. The subjects of this research were X.4 as the control class, and X.5 as the experimental class in MAN Kota Batu. This research used Quasy Experiment method with nonequivalent design (pretest and posttest) control group. The hypothesis test result by using Two Way Anova. The result was significance value of 0.014. The conclusion was the Problem Based Learning model significantly influenced the students’ geographical skills.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan geografi. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X.4 sebagai kelas kontrol dan X.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen MAN Kota Batu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasy experiment) dengan nonequivalent (pretest-posttest) control group design. Uji hipotesis data menggunakan Two Way Anova dan diperoleh signifikansi 0,014. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan geografi siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed at explaining the effect of outdoor study learning model assisted by video conference toward the learners’ scientific writing competence. This research used quasi experiment with two groups, they are experiment class and control class. The subjects of this research were geography learners FIS university of Negeri Malang in the academic year 2019/2020 which consisted of two classes, experiment class contained 39 learners, meanwhile control class contained 37 learners. The technique that was used to determine the class was purposive sampling. The factorial design 2x3 was also used in this research. The data was analysed by using two way anova. The results show the significant value of hypothesis test by using two way anova as large as 0,035<0,05 which meant there was an effect of outdoor study learning model assisted by video conference toward the learners’ scientific writing competence.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh model pembelajaran outdoor study berbantuan video conference terhadap kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan dua kelompok yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Subjek penelitian mahasiswa geografi FIS Universitas Negeri Malang tahun ajaran 2019/2020 terdiri dari dua kelas, kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 39 mahasiswa, sedangkan kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 37 mahasiswa total 76 mahasiswa.
