Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the availability of library book collections on students’ reading interest at SDIT At-Taqwa Pamulang in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design using a survey method. The sample consisted of 42 students selected as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis used simple linear regression to examine the relationship between the availability of library book collections (X) and students’ reading interest (Y).he results showed that the availability of library book collections was categorized as high, with a percentage of 79.25%, while students’ reading interest was also categorized as high, with a percentage of 66.22%. The regression analysis produced the equation Y = 44.687 + 0.131X, indicating a positive effect of the availability of library book collections on students’ reading interest. However, the coefficient of determination was 0.014, meaning that the effect was very low, contributing only 1.4%, while the remaining 98.6% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. In conclusion, the availability of library book collections has a positive but low influence on students’ reading interest.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of school principals' policies in improving the pedagogic competence of teachers in Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, which collects data through in-depth interviews with principals, vice principals, and teachers, as well as observation of policy planning and evaluation activities. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify key themes related to policy planning, evaluation, and collaboration in improving pedagogic competence. The results of the study show that the policies implemented by the principal at the Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School focus on structured planning, continuous evaluation, and collaboration with teachers. Systematic planning and regular evaluation have been proven to increase teaching effectiveness. In addition, collaboration between school principals and teachers in designing education policies also strengthens the implementation of policies that are relevant to educational needs. Nonetheless, challenges in implementation such as resistance to change and resource limitations remain obstacles. This research contributes to understanding the importance of inclusive and continuous evaluation-based education policies to improve the pedagogic competence of teachers in Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires adaptive, student-centered learning approaches that enhance meaningful engagement. Gamification and Game-Based Learning (GBL) have emerged as innovative strategies to address this challenge. This study aims to analyze the use of gamification and GBL within the Merdeka Curriculum and their impact on students' motivation and learning outcomes. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA 2020 protocol, searching the Scopus, ScienceDirect, ERIC, and SINTA databases for publications from 2019 to 2025. Of 842 identified articles, 32 met the inclusion criteria and were thematically analyzed. The findings reveal that gamification and GBL consistently improve intrinsic motivation, cognitive engagement, and both cognitive and affective learning outcomes across educational levels. Platforms such as Kahoot!, Quizizz, Minecraft Education, and Wordwall are the most frequently used. However, challenges persist regarding teacher readiness, digital infrastructure, and alignment with the Pancasila Student Profile. The study concludes that integrating gamification and GBL significantly contributes to achieving the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum.
