Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of student activity and learning outcomes in science learning. The study aimed to improve the learning activities and science learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 10 Koto through the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model assisted by visual media. This research used classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were 26 sixth-grade students. Data were collected through observation of student learning activities and tests of learning outcomes at the end of each cycle. The results showed that student learning activities increased from 63.46% in cycle I to 82.69% in cycle II. In addition, student learning outcomes also improved from 65.38% in cycle I to 80.77% in cycle II. These findings indicate that the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together learning model assisted by visual media can improve students’ learning activities and science learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together learning model assisted by image media can improve students’ learning activities and science learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the limited use of interactive learning media that can support the Deep Learning approach and improve elementary school students' science learning outcomes. The research aims to develop interactive media based on Smart Apps Creator and test its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The strength of this research lies in the integration of the Deep Learning approach in media designed to increase students' active involvement, critical thinking skills, and contextual learning experiences. The method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at SDN 15 Nan Sabaris, SDN 17 Nan Sabaris, and SDN 16 Nan Sabaris. The results showed that the media was very valid with a validity score of 94.44% from material experts, 100% from language experts, and 93.18% from media experts. Teacher practicality scored 96.42%, 100%, and 92.85%, while student responses were 92.6%, 91.88%, and 91.87%. The effectiveness of the media shows N-Gain values of 0.81, 0.79, and 0.81 with a high category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low use of interactive learning media in Mathematics learning and the limited teaching materials that can facilitate students to learn independently and interestingly. The purpose of this research is to produce interactive teaching materials based on the Flip PDF Corporate Edition application for Mathematics learning for grade IV elementary school that are valid, practical, and effective, and to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the teaching materials developed. This type of research is a development research (R&D) using the ADDIE model. Expert validators are 3 experts (media experts, material experts, and language experts), 3 teachers, and grade IV students at SDN 06 Cimparuh and SDN 16 Cimparuh. The validation results show a validity level of 93.75% from media experts, 88.63% from material experts, and 90.6% from language experts, all of which are included in the "very valid" category. Based on the results of teacher and student responses, it is known that the percentage of practicality of teaching materials at SDN 06 Cimparuh reached 92.15% student responses and 95.8% teacher responses, while at SDN 16 Cimparuh 95.35% student responses and 91.6% teacher responses. In addition, the results of the effectiveness test showed an N-Gain value of 0.8054 at SDN 06 Cimparuh and 0.7825 at SDN 16 Cimparuh, including the high category. Thus, it can be concluded that interactive teaching materials based on Flip PDF Corporate Edition are valid, practical, and effective for use in learning Mathematics for grade IV elementary school.
