Abstract

This study addresses the issue of suboptimal student academic performance, which is frequently linked to the selection of instructional strategies that do not actively engage learners. Learning outcomes represent a multidimensional construct involving knowledge acquisition, attitude development, and skill formation. Therefore, the application of an appropriate learning model is essential to support meaningful learning experiences. This research aims to investigate the impact of implementing a Problem Based Learning (PBL) model supported by audio-visual media on students’ academic achievement. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed. The study involved two groups: an experimental class receiving the PBL intervention and a control class experiencing conventional instruction. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments and analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The findings reveal a statistically significant difference between the two groups, indicated by a significance value below 0.05. This confirms that integrating problem-based strategies with audio-visual support contributes positively to improving students’ learning outcomes. The results highlight the importance of student-centered learning environments in fostering deeper understanding and engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning motivation (Aspirations X1, Parental Support X2, Peers X3) on student learning outcomes. The background of this study is based on the low learning motivation of students indicated by the high number of incompleteness in the mid-semester summative. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of UPTD SMP Negeri 10 Kupang, with a sample size of 60 respondents determined using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, t-test, f-test, and coefficient of determination test. The results of the study show that aspirations have a positive and significant impact on learning outcomes with a coefficient value of 5.304 and a significance of 0.000. Parental support has a positive and significant impact on learning outcomes with a coefficient value of 4.580 and a significance of 0.000. Peers also have a positive and significant impact on learning outcomes with a coefficient value of 3.563 and a significance of 0.000. Simultaneously, aspirations, parental support, and peer support had a positive and significant impact on learning outcomes, with a calculated F-value of 443.557 and a significance level of 0.000. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination test showed an R-squared value of 0.960, indicating that the three independent variables explained 96% of the influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes, with the remainder being influenced by other factors outside the study. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning motivation (aspirations, parental support, and peer support) is a crucial factor in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy on the financial management skills of students receiving the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) scholarship in the Economics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Nusa Cendana University. This study used a quantitative approach with an associative causal approach. The sample consisted of 160 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that financial literacy, consisting of financial knowledge, financial attitudes, and financial behavior, influences students' financial management skills. Both partially and simultaneously, these variables contribute to improving students' ability to plan, organize, and control their finances. These findings emphasize the importance of improving financial literacy among students to enable them to manage their finances wisely, effectively, and responsibly. Therefore, this research is expected to serve as a basis for developing financial education programs to support students' academic success and future financial well-being.
