Abstract

This study focuses on examining the Al-Qur'an memorization learning system using the Ottoman Turkish Method applied at the Sulaimaniyah Jasinga Islamic Boarding School in Bogor, West Java, which is one of the largest memorization centers in Indonesia. The study was conducted to understand the curriculum structure, daily coaching patterns, memorization submission procedures, muroja'ah reinforcement strategies, and the role of mentors in maintaining the quality of students' memorization achievements. The findings show that the implementation of memorization at this boarding school emphasizes discipline, accuracy in reading according to institutional standards, and intensive monitoring of memorization progress. Using a qualitative case study approach, involving four students, two musyrifs, and one pesantren administrator, data were collected through participatory observation of daily tahfidz activities and in-depth interviews, as well as documentation such as memorization report books. The study reveals that the Ottoman Turkish Method emphasizes the accuracy of makhraj, accuracy in following the Ottoman rasm, and a gradual deposit system that is supervised through strict daily evaluations. Memorization checks are carried out in stages, both through routine deposits and periodic assessments. A conducive boarding school environment, strong supervision from mentors, and an academic culture that emphasizes serious learning are important factors that support the success of students in achieving stable and high-quality memorization. This study is expected to contribute to the development of tahfidz learning models in other Islamic educational institutions. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengkajian sistem pembelajaran tahfidz Al-Qur’an dengan Metode Turki Utsmani yang diterapkan di Pesantren Sulaimaniyah Jasinga, Bogor, Jawa Barat yang merupakan salah satu pusat tahfidz terbesar di Indonesia. Kajian dilakukan untuk memahami susunan kurikulum, pola pembinaan harian, prosedur setoran hafalan, strategi penguatan muroja’ah, serta peran para pembimbing dalam menjaga mutu capaian hafalan santri. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan tahfidz di pesantren ini sangat menekankan kedisiplinan, ketelitian bacaan sesuai standar lembaga, dan pemantauan perkembangan hafalan secara intensif. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus, melibatkan empat santri, dua orang musyrif serta satu orang pengelola pesantren, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif kegiatan tahfidz harian dan wawancara mendalam, serta dokumentasi seperti buku laporan hafalan. Penelitian mengungkap bahwa Metode Turki Utsmani menitikberatkan pada ketepatan makhraj, akurasi dalam mengikuti rasm Utsmani, serta sistem setoran bertahap yang diawasi melalui evaluasi harian yang ketat. Pemeriksaan hafalan dilakukan secara berjenjang, baik melalui setoran rutin maupun penilaian berkala. Lingkungan pesantren yang kondusif, supervisi pembimbing yang kuat, serta budaya akademik yang menekankan kesungguhan belajar menjadi faktor penting yang mendukung keberhasilan santri dalam mencapai hafalan yang stabil dan bermutu tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menawarkan kontribusi bagi pengembangan model pembelajaran tahfidz di lembaga pendidikan Islam lain
