Abstract

This research aims to explain language errors in the field of morphology in the essay texts of class IX students at SMP Negeri 45 Medan. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data source is in the form of essay texts from class IX students. The data collection technique in this research is documentation technique. Documentation techniques are used to collect data in the form of notes, transcripts, books, etc. The results of this research contained several errors, namely 10 errors in affixation, 8 errors in reduplication and 1 error in compounding.

Abstract

This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects in this research were in class VII-3 with a total of 30 students. The aim of this research is to improve the learning quality of class VII-3 students at SMPn 45 Medan in procedural texts using the project based learning model. The project based learning model is a model that involves a project in the learning process. Based on research, the application of the project based learning model is very effective because students' results of writing procedural texts have increased from cycle I to cycle II.
