Abstract

Hutaraja Hot Springs is a natural hot spring with crystal clear water originating from Mount Sorik Merapi. In addition to pure water, the water contains sulfur, which is beneficial for health. Surrounded by rice fields and community plantations, this tourist attraction is even more beautiful and charming than it already is. If managed properly, it will certainly be beneficial for improving the community's economy and increasing the original income of the Hutaraja village from the tourism sector. This study aims to determine the efforts to develop Hutaraja hot spring as a sustainable tourism destination. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive data. Data collection techniques included direct observation of the Hutaraja hot spring tourist attraction, accommodation to the location, supporting facilities around the tourist attraction, and direct involvement of stakeholders and the local community in the development of the Hutaraja hot spring, and documentation studies. In-depth interviews were conducted with the Mandailing Natal Regency Tourism Office, Mandailing Natal Regency Bappeda Office, Panyabungan Sub-district Head, Head of South Hutaraja Village, local community, food vendors/stalls, and visitors. The study results show that efforts to develop the Hutaraja hot spring tourist attraction as a sustainable tourism destination were carried out by considering five aspects, namely Attraction, Accessibility, Accommodation, Amenities, and Ancillary services (the 5A tourism concept). The conclusion is that development efforts that consider the 5A tourism concept have proven effective in increasing visitor numbers, as evidenced by the thousands of visitors to the tourist attraction each year and the relatively stable upward trend in visitor numbers.

Abstract

This study presents the development of the Accreditation Data Fulfillment Support Information System (SIPDAK) at Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif using a User-Centered Design approach. The system integrates accreditation data from multiple work units into a single unified database (“one data”), enabling efficient monitoring of document validity and management. The interactive dashboard includes the “Upcoming Accreditation Expiry” widget, urgency badges, and an animated character to improve readability and user awareness. Implementation results indicate increased efficiency in data management, clear visualization of accreditation urgency, and enhanced monitoring capabilities for staff and administrators. These outcomes are important for ensuring institutional readiness for accreditation evaluation, facilitating timely decision-making, and reducing the risk of delayed documentation. Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Tourism is a sector that has grown significantly in recent years after the Covid-19 pandemic. BaluranNational Park is one of the contributors to foreign exchange in the tourism sector in the conservationarea. The increasing potential for visits to Baluran National Park needs to be balanced with thedevelopment of tourist attractions to continue to increase tourist visits and have a greater impact on theeconomy of the surrounding community. This study aims to determine the readiness and preferences ofthe community in order to analyze recommendations for the development of tourist attractions in BaluranNational Park. Data on natural resource potential was collected using observation and literature studymethods. Visitor preference data was collected using a questionnaire method. Community readiness datawas collected using interviews to explore information related to the focus of the study. Baluran NationalPark and the surrounding villages have great potential to support community-based tourism developmentin Baluran National Park. The community is ready to support the development of tourist attractions inBaluran National Park, especially those that will definitely provide maximum benefits and profits withoutdamaging the natural resources in Baluran National Park. The research resulted in two recommendationsfor the development of community-based tourist attractions in Baluran National Park, namely educationaltourism and local cultural tourism. Educational tourism can be developed and conceptualized in line withconservation programs so that natural resources remain preserved. Empowerment that can supporteducational tourism includes handicrafts that depict the culture of the community and the history ofBaluran National Park, as well as innovative and environmentally friendly means of transportation such aselectric vehicles or horse-drawn carriages, which are traditional means of transportation for thecommunity.
