Abstract

This study examines the relevance of the tarbawi (educational) interpretation of Qur’anic verses to contemporary Islamic education. The tarbawi exegesis provides guidance for developing a holistic, integrative education that emphasizes character building and spiritual awareness. This research analyzes how the principles embedded in the Qur’an can be applied in a modern context, including the development of physical, intellectual, and spiritual aspects, as well as the integration of knowledge with moral and religious values. The findings indicate that understanding tarbawi interpretation serves not only as a normative foundation but also as a strategic reference for curriculum design, teaching methods and educational evaluation. Therefore, the tarbawi exegesis plays a crucial role in creating relevant, adaptive and effective Islamic education that fosters the comprehensive development of human beings.

Abstract

This study re-explores the dual role of women, both in the domestic and public spheres, within the framework of the Qur'anic text and the challenges faced in the modern era. The method used is a textual literature review of relevant Qur'anic verses as well as classical and contemporary exegetical literature, then analyzed qualitatively by considering the current socio-cultural context. The results show that the Qur'an provides a foundation for recognizing the diversity of women's functions in the family and society, with the values of justice, responsibility, and honor. However, traditional interpretations are often trapped in patriarchal norms, making it difficult to adapt to the dynamics of education, careers, and media in modern times. The study recommends a contextual interpretation that emphasizes the Qur'anic values of humanity and equality, allows for the expansion of the meaning of the domestic and public spheres, and provides an adaptive framework for women to choose roles according to their capacities and aspirations within an Islamic ethical framework.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of Dhikr Asmaul Husna on enhancing learning motivation among students at MAS Al-Amanah Al-Gontory. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques to gather data from a range of students and teachers. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the regular practice of Dhikr Asmaul Husna, conducted each morning before lessons, significantly enhances students’ motivation to learn. The practice fosters a closer connection with Allah SWT, promoting inner peace and focus, which positively impacts their academic engagement and performance. Both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations play a role in students' learning behaviors, with dhikr strengthening their intrinsic motivation while external rewards such as grades serve as extrinsic motivation. The study suggests that incorporating spiritual practices in educational settings can be an effective method for improving student motivation. Future research could examine the long-term effects of such practices and compare them with other spiritual or educational interventions.
