Abstract

Research in early childhood education indicates that language fluency is a crucial achievement, as language serves as the primary tool for communication. Expressive language skills are an important part of mastering a language. Although language development tends to progress rapidly during the early years, the level of pronunciation maturity varies among children. Consequently, the use of "Talking Stick Animals" learning media at Kartika VIII-42 Kindergarten was implemented to train and stimulate children's expressive language abilities. The objective of this study is to assess the enhancement of expressive language skills via the "Talking Stick Animals" media. The method employed is a qualitative descriptive approach, with research subjects consisting of one educator and ten students. Data collection techniques included observation and interviews, while data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate an improvement in children's expressive language skills. In the initial meeting, seven children were categorized as "not yet developed," and three children were "starting to develop." Following the intervention, two children reached the "developed as expected" category, and eight children were recorded as "developing very well." This progress is evident in the children's ability to communicate fluently, tell stories, and express their ideas to others.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the ability to recognize the numbers of group B children in Kober Bina Bangsa has not been achieved. Researchers used movement and song methods to solve the problem of recognizing numbers in group B children at the institution. The aim of this research is to determine the increase in the number recognition ability of group B children in Kober Bina Bangsa by using movement and song methods. The research method used is classroom action research (PTK). Classroom action research is research used by teachers in their own classes through self-reflection with the aim of improving their performance as teachers so that children's learning outcomes improve. The subjects of this research were eight children from group B in Kober Bina Bangsa, consisting of three girls and five boys. The data collection technique in this research is observation. Data analysis used qualitative analysis. The steps in this research are planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The conclusion of this research is that, at the pre-cycle stage, children's ability to recognize numbers had not yet reached the very well developed (BSB) category, whereas after the actions in cycle 1 and cycle 2, children's ability to recognize numbers increased and 7 children reached the very well developed (BSB) category.

Abstract

The low fine motor skills observed in children and the lack of engaging learning media provided by teachers motivate this research. To address these issues, appropriate media are required to stimulate fine motor development, specifically through the use of natural material stringing activities. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of stringing natural materials as a learning method to improve fine motor skills in early childhood. The methodology employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR), following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included 16 children aged 5–6 years at Melati Kindergarten, comprising six girls and ten boys. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented as percentages. Preliminary results showed that only 15% of the children reached the "Developing as Expected" category. After the intervention in Cycle I, this figure increased to 21%. By Cycle II, a significant improvement was observed: 81% of the children reached the "Developing Very Well" category, 19% achieved the "Developing as Expected" category, and 0% remained in the "Starting to Develop" category. It is concluded that the use of natural material stringing media effectively enhances the fine motor skills of children at Melati Kindergarten.

Abstract

This research was motivated by logical thinking abilities of children in group B in Kober Raudhatul Jannah which had not been achieved, where children experienced difficulties in abstract reasoning, paling solutions to problems, understanding cause and effect relationships, as well as ini complex logical reasning suc as generalization an inference. This because teachers olny usemanufactured APE. The research aims to improve the logical thinking abilities of young children through loose part game media. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), where the teacher is the implementer of the learning while the researcher is the observer. This research design uses the Kemmis and Mc model. Taggart. This research was carried out in Kober Raudhatul Jannah. The subjects of this research consisted of 18 children in group B. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews. Data is analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs using words in narrative form which aims to explain the activities carried out during learning activities. The research results showed an increase in logical thinking abilities based on the evaluation of cycle I and cycle II. This shows that the ability to think logically can be carried out through learning activities using loose part media, where children are able to plan, arrange numbers, group, make shapes, make patterns and sort materials according to the level of learning achievement in children's cognitive development.
